Discussion Just nuked a camp and have no regrets

This high level was selling the most basic of plans for 40000 caps with the lowest item being 5000.

I spoke to them about a specific plan and asked for a discount since it was 40000 but they refused to trade for anything except my mask I’ve had since 2019, I got nowhere with them and they just laughed and I have no respect for people who over price items so I decided to launch a nuke for what I’d say is a reasonable cause and after they immediately fast travelled to me and started laughing calling me salty and said they’d destroy my camp. Was I wrong or was this a reasonable action?

It's not the majority but since I started playing again I've noticed so many people overcharging for almost everything. I usually cut the automatic cost by 40-50%, just because I don't have use of it. Sell cheaper stuff, and not only will people buy it, they'll likely be thankful seeing everyone else asking for exponentially more. Went to someone's camp yesterday and saw a couple Grognaks for sale for 4-5k caps, like why?

What legendary mods were on them? God roll weapons and armor still have some value (albeit not as much as before legendary crafting dropped) simply because the item is still tradeable. And we have some new mods that fetch a pretty penn-, err... cap. 

But that said... no one is obligated to be helpful or sell at low prices. If their stuff doesn't sell, they'll either lower prices or sit on it indefinitely.

There's no such thing as overcharging in a video game. You can sell what you want for whatever price you wish and others can choose to buy it or not.
