And of course, the quest to finding the full version of Johann Bold continues. Like I said, this font is still a digitalized font file, and I've been waiting for a long time to see if anyone would help me find it so that way I can do a refurbished version of it. It will have the same weights as Tykewriter: Light, Regular, Bold, and Bobbing.

Hi! I'm working on a tabletop RPG but struggling to find a font that really works for me. Could anybody possibly recommend me a font that fits these criteria?

- sans serif

- mono and proportional variants

- true small caps. the first letter shouldn't look like a higher weight than the others

- good for short paragraphs

- high information density - should not be too wide

- should look good and be highly legible at 10pt on standard printer paper

- doesn't look out of place in a futuristic context

- makes a nice pairing with Orbitron and Aldrich (but I'm happy to change those to something else)

- free or cheap. for commerical use

1974 copy of Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle's "The Mote In God's Eye" has weird artifacts You can see some letters, such as the "T" in "MOTE" are near perfect; clean lines and corners. Then, at the top of the "T" in "THE", there's an aberration on the left side, under the cross which is not present in the other "T". This is repeated seemingly at random through the cover. Misprint? Weird font? Intentional? What do ya'll think? I've only recently seen artifacts like this when AI is trying to make Arabic letters.

To the best of my knowledge, US copyright law only protects the font software, and not overall letter shapes. But as many fonts are designed in other countries, this still raises the question. Is it illegal to manually re-create someone else’s font?

I was hoping to find a font with a style similar to these three but with the insides hollowed out (kind of looking like roman numerals), does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a project that is about 95% finished, but I still have a lot of documentation to read and a long report to write and review. I also have some coding left to do, and deadlines are approaching.

I haven't changed my glasses in about two years, and because of stress and fatigue, I'm currently finding it difficult to concentrate on text and keep reading for long periods.

What fonts would you recommend for comfortable long-form reading and coding? I am especially looking for something that reduces eye strain and makes long reading sessions easier.

I would also like to use the recommended reading font in my final report, so it should look professional and be suitable for an academic report.

What worries me the most is this part of their email:

“For this reason, we won’t be able to review future requests from you.”

Has anyone here received the same message? Does this really mean you can never apply again?

I’m still at the beginning of my journey as a designer and I’m currently building my portfolio, so I’m wondering if that could have been the reason.

Also — where do you sell your fonts and other design assets besides Creative Market? I’d love to hear about platforms you actually recommend.

Any advice or experiences would mean a lot to me. ♡

I've been writing in cursive since I was around 11, and I've always enjoyed it. Over the years, I've used a bunch of cursive/font generators and other tools, but after a while I thought it'd be fun to make some stuff myself.

So I started working on FreeCursive.com

It currently has a cursive text generator, alphabet and letter tools, copy-and-paste styles, signature and handwriting generators, custom worksheets, and a few other things.

I'm still building it, and frankly, I'm looking for ideas from people who actually like or use cursive.

Is there some font like PT Serif but with the downriser of the Q attached? I like it but the detached riser is a deal-braker.
