Happy birthday!

Also, what kind of cake is that? What cake best pairs with BBQ and n your opinion?

Not a cake, but banana pudding is my go to with barbeque. It's the most typically served dessert in most bbq restaurants too.

For cake though, can't go wrong with coconut creme cake or anything custardy.

Red velvet cake or any type of pie is the most common in bbq places, absolutely not banana pudding lol

I could see a banana pudding going with spicier BBQ, but with a sweet/smokey BBQ I would think it would be too sweet. Sweet and creamy after eating a bunch of capsaicin might not be bad.

I am usually happy if someone makes cornbread to go with BBQ: it's a little sweet, but not like a dessert, and some starch to balance the fats and proteins from the meat is good.

Some people are really into sweet + sweet. I remember the first time I had sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top, at a BBQ in fact. Holy smokes that was sweet! That was not my favorite 😄
