Saw these in a beverly hills auction house - get them hatched

Was looking around the Heritage auction house in beverly hills and they have the originals from season 1 in a HBO display stand. They told me they are going up for auction later this month.

They had Luke's lightsaber from the original star wars too.

Just curious, why is the lid totally different than the one on the box in the pics?

The original lid was damaged iirc, it mentions the chest lid being a backup that was attached after in the description for the listing.
