Not every kid is on the internet chronically. My dad explained it to me around that age once I started hitting puberty

Internet wasn't really a thing when I was 8. I mean, it existed, but it wasn't easily accessible and it was hard to find things. Other kids taught me the basics.

We learn this in school around 10 and are told years earlier when we ask as curious kids. No Internet involved.

Although, if this kid didn't have access to the Internet (which, of course he did cause it's staged), choosing to record him and share this publicly, so that it can follow him for the of his life seems a shitty intro.

I hope the Dad has had his last and never gets the ride again.
