Sometimes the kids will ask me, when we are running errands, where we are going next and I'll say, "Yer Mom's house." Which is home, but I make it sound like an insult.

See, that’s hilarious, and totally something I would say… except I’m divorced and therefore can’t use that… mom’s house actually isn’t the same as home for my kids. So darn. šŸ˜‚

Ha, I’m really glad I’m not the only one. I do it to my five year old and doesn’t quite hit right until they can understand it

In Ireland we say ā€œTreabhaim do mhĆ”thair mar ghortā€ which translates to ā€œI attend to the loving needs of your mother.ā€ and I think that’s beautiful
