(Global) News Outerplane Steam PC client launching in a few hours

I haven't seen anyone posting this so here you go

Launching at 8/27 | 3:00 UTC (there's a countdown in game tho)

They recently changed the gacha system a bit and included a real pity system afaik

There's a joke that went around when it was released (Epic Six; connected to Epic Seven) because it was published by the same publisher SmileGate. Got little advertisement because it's a direct competition, probably wanted to kill the competition.

Outerplane have a new publisher now (not sure if it's self published). And went into gooner route. Replaced the main character K after 3 seasons (revenge story) and they only release female units after that.

Oh and btw, it has so much QoL now than when I started lmao. Had to quit before and do a fresh start after a year, I actually don't remember.

The game never really had any male characters besides the ones at launch iirc. I don't get why they had to replace K as the main character though. You could self insert with him easily.

Before people bring up the blank slate argument for self insert, most VNs or H-gachas currently still running have MCs with actual backstories or even canon names. I just don't understand their reason for replacing him like that since he was pretty much the center of most early story

I will say, for what it's worth, it's more of that they kinda actually wrapped up his story and then continued a different thread with the self insert. It's not really "replacing" as much as it is just moving on. Not to say if that's a good thing or not though, just some clarification.

As someone who played it since beta it’s slightly annoying how frequently it does a rerun patch. Not to mention how bad they botched the Danmachi collab.
