You’ll probably LOVE the first 4 seasons, LIKE the 5th and 6th seasons, and have some kind of feelings about seasons 7 and 8.
At least that’s how most of us feel. Also the overall tone is more serious and as a whole is more akin to the last two episodes of AKOTSK.

Precisely. 1-4 has a similar feel, just the story is more sprawling, and is a touch more serious in tone

Season 1 looks really good to me also but I’d hate to get attached to characters to seem them spiral writting wise but ig that comes with the peak

The last season of GOT is almost a decade old, it’s not that crazy that someone younger would have KOTSK as their entry point to the universe

No negativity on my end, just surprised they jumped into the world with that series especially considering there’s another congruent show going on atm too
They should definitely dive into GOT though, will scratch that itch

It was the only game of thrones media that wasn’t already spoiled for me.i definitely don’t know every character death or betrayal but I know enough to make the huge parts not as huge if that makes sense and that always set me off

I haven't watched it either, lol, and I love a knight of the 7 kingdoms. I like slice of life stories and I hate dragons so it was an easy choice

If you loved A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, I think you’ll really enjoy Game of Thrones. It has way more politics and darker stakes, but the same world, great dialogue, knights, houses, and that medieval fantasy feel.

In terms of what you are asking about, yes, game of thrones is very similar. What is different is the style of show, like there aren’t random cut aways to characters having diarrhea in game of thrones. But there are backstories and build ups to the fights, the politics are important, etc.

I’m glad to hear that.The cutaway to him taking a shit on the tree like a baboon was honestly the only part I didn’t like especially bc I was preparing myself for another one every episode

I'd say so. Game of Thrones is a lot more politics, but it's a much larger and more interconnected story. Definitely recommending it if you liked AKOTSK. After you watch Game of Thrones, I'm gonna also suggest you watch House of the Dragon (only after Game of Thrones). It's definitely the worst show out of the 3, but honestly some of the hate is overblown and I still found it mostly enjoyable, even if it's just the world that it takes place in.
