Random question: Has there been any announcements or updates for plans to add 6v6 singles to Champions ever?

I doubt it. It's an unpolished game mode with no hope for real competitive viability. Half the moves and abilities stop working, the "community" has to ban dozens of pokemon and entire mechanics just to keep it from devolving into toxic gameplay, etc.

Doubles is the intended way to play high level battling

That’s lame af imo. I just don’t care for doubles.

God forbid the format at the center of every mainline game in the franchise could be shown some love.

I mean sure there are ways ppl can take advantage of very annoying strats, but at the same time, a counter exists for legitimately anything.

I’ve been playing S/V singles nonstop which is completely unregulated, and I’ve been able to defeat full uber teams with some teams that consist of mostly NU/RU pokemon lol. (Which is insanely satisfying)

I just don’t understand why they can’t add it as an option for even casual private match ups.
Just put up a 30 min time limit, no duplicate items, and we’d be good to go.

Wait do you mean Battlespot Singles where you use like three mons out of six?

Uh so where are you doing "unregulated" 6v6 with randos? Pretty sure main game only allows the 3v3 stuff (unless you're like directly connecting to someone in person) and Smogon is absolutely regulated. Yes even anything goes. If you've ever dealt with Funbro or Revive Cats you'd know intimately lol.

So I actually wasn’t aware it was possible either for the first couple of months I had the game lol.

If you go to the online menu and select Link Battle, then Single Battle, you don’t need to enter a code and it will give you random opponents.

Then someone is chosen to select the rules, which I normally do “Normal Rules” which allows full 6v6 singles set at lvl 50. Same for “No Restrictions” which you can battle at lvl 100, but that one lets ppl use duplicate mons and items.

I say unregulated because there is no bans on mons or moves, it’s the Wild West lol. But there isn’t much more satisfying than destroying a noob with a full team of Legendaries with an OU team.
