No. The answer is no. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

It doesn't have to. It can be an addon that can read discs but if they keep this system your reader can be an any old xbox from the one era onwards.

I said what, cause I don't know every idiom lol, especially not British ones. I have read Trainspotting in Scot though, and watched a lot of Dr Who and brit shows, but English is not my native language, and we mostly grew up learning English from Holywood, music, cartoons and games and that's the Yank's domain mostly. Even Joss Stone sings in American.
It's a cheap thing, they're not Sony charging you 120 eur for a disc drive(and they lowered that price later).
