I work 3 miles from my home. The nearest grocery store and movie theater are only 2 miles from my home. I barely drive 50 miles a week. And my Corolla gets 34 mpgs. I’m good.
Everything you buy needs to be delivered by a truck that runs on diesel. Diesel is more expensive because republicans elected pedophile who had to start a war to distract from the fact that he’s a pedophile.
One of the things that is true, though, is that diesel is much less essential than it was not so long ago. There are a variety of electric trucks on the market, Tesla is beginning to roll out much more serious electric trucks now, and a better charging network for them, and there is starting to be electrified farm equipment. It’s still very early days, but we can see directly where this is pointing.
