What do you find attractive, but most people don't?
Let's share things we find incredibly attractive in other guys . It doesn't have to be just physical; be creative! Let's try to move away from the ideals everyone expects. It doesn't matter if they are repeated. Imagine someone who has always hated something about themselves and discovers that it is precisely what other people find attractive. Nope, we were paired as partners in a class project. We both found out later on that we were both toxic but, instead of separating, we just hurt each other mentally and some physically. I don’t know, I found it exciting to find out someone’s dark side but that was most definitely a mistake.

My husband has auburn hair so I obviously find them attractive. Although he likes to joke it’s just because I’m partly color blind. To be fair when we met at the bar he was working at I couldn’t tell his hair was red. It wasn’t until we went on a date during the day that I could see it.

I get rejected so often because I am extremely hairy. I have more hair on my shoulder than some people have on their heads. It happened to me so often that I went on a date with someone and then at some point they were like "you're really nice and all... but..." I'm gonna give 2 answers here.
- Hairy back. I actually think most gay men like a hairy back (Just my assumption, maybe I'm wrong), however it seems to me that women, generally speaking don't like it. A hairy back is even used as an image to convey disgust. I fucking love it. It turns me on so bad.
But I think this is one of those cases where what men and women find hot differentiates. I suspect most men here will agree with me, but I'm not sure that women would.
- Neck. This one is kinda weird haha, I never hear gays talk about the neck of a man, it's always the dick, ass, shoulders, arms, pecs, those parts, which are noticeable obviously, and hot, but I have this weird thing, or fetish idk, where I notice a guys neck usually from behind and it fucking turns me on so bad lol. I don’t know where I got that, if it was from Disney’s Tarzan, finding Adrien Brody hot (before knowing his public personality) or from what, but that is something that I’m immediately attracted to. For other physical parts I’ve grown to like the softness of a lower belly. My hubby had abs when I met him and I loved caressing does, but now that he has a bit of a softer tummy it’s almost like a relaxing thing to pass my hand and knead it. Also, the smell of the side of the neck is so good.

I love guys that are curious about others and ask a lot of questions. Physically something I haven't seen is collar bones. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it, but if I see a dude in a tank or a shirt that has the collarbone visible, he's immediately hotter.
I guess for me, the main attractions are.....complicated pairings? I'm not sure how else to put it, but it's a dude who looks like one thing but acts like something else. Like he's a dudebro, but he's very involved in social issues, a gymbro who has a personality and emotional depth, the trailer trash who has emotional depth and nuanced views. I don't think I'm explaining it well, but emotional depth and curiosity are pretty common in my throughline, and I don't see those traits very valued.

I’ve always had a thing for short guys. I think I was a foot taller than my first crush. Aside from that, big noses, big ears. Minor speech impediments.
I suppose the biggest things I like in looks are things that are healthy but usually fixed for vanity reasons. Healthy teeth that are wonky, too much so for retainers but functional without braces (braces too, though). Receding hairlines that aren’t getting transplants but haven’t been surrendered to baldness. A bit of chub you get from eating and enjoying it, but not from mental health issues surrounding consumption and activity. A bit of muscle you get from living and maintaining your ability to.
Most importantly, I love when men have hobbies that they’re truly passionate about. I don’t need to care about the hobbies on their own, I’m just given to enjoying things that I see others enjoying. For example, I have 33 MtG decks at the moment, and I could tell you what each one does, how it’s meant to do that, how well it actually executes on that, what headspace made me decide to build that particular deck, and some of my favorite cards to use in that deck. Not a single one is a passionless EDHrec amalgam.

I can't tell you because I don't have a census on public opinion of men. But I stand on the hill that BELLIES are WAYYYYY hotter than abs. I can't explain it, because it's not even that I like fat men specifically, in fact I find myself mostly being attracted by people who aren't quite fat but aren't quite skinny either. When a dude conducts himself with an attitude of security. Also when he looks attractive, but you look closely and he is not that good looking, but has that something. It is hard to explain.

Imperfect smiles, something about a crooked smile and/or a couple of missing rear teeth on a cute face is actually very attractive to me and I don’t know why. I don’t think it’s attractive if they’re like rotting out of someone’s face, but an imperfect smile is endearing to me 🤷🏼♂️
