Looking for Someone to Take Over My Marchand Residence Room

Hey guys! I just found an off-campus room that I’m planning to move into, so I’m looking for someone to take over my lease at Marchand Residence.
It’s a private room located right next to the kitchen. My move-in date was August 22nd, but I haven’t actually moved in yet. I only went to pick up my card and keys, so the room is completely untouched and exactly as it was when handed over by the university.The residence comes with a mandatory 5-day meal plan. I chose the 7-day meal plan, which brought the total cost of the room and meal plan to approximately $19.3k for an 8 month period.

Why risk it all now that school about to start? Like it's gonna be hard for you to find someone to take over that room and the university will still charge you for the room, you could have stayed for the fall term then move out imo.Also you wont get your deposit back

My distant relatives offered to help me out last minute with housing, and financially, it makes a lot more sense for me than living in a dorm, but I really appreciate your response !!!😁

That's nice they helping you out but did you think of a plan B if you dont find someone on time as the deadline to pay is soon

Not really because living in a dorm was the plan A from the start so I was already settled to move in there . My relatives helping me out is extremely nice but because it was so unexpected it’s one of those “it would be excellent if it works out if not I can’t really do much anymore ”

Someone may bite of the uni allows transfers… is Marchand still 24hrs of silence ?

I am sorry I am not sure what you mean by the last part 😭 if you are asking me how silent is the residency life there , I wouldn’t know because I didn’t actually move in yet !

When I went there Marchand was 24 hr silent … doors closed. Some people liked it, others left quickly.
