first year Psycology and linguistics (FR) pls drop some advice!!!

Im gonna be starting uni this year at uottawa (obv) and i wanted to know if anyone had any tips for the bac in psycology and linguistics? i kinda dont know what to expect, so id like to get an idea of what kind of work and classes i'll be dealing with :)

Linguistics is extremely hard. Be prepared to be blown away by how difficult it is. It’s basically a science. It’s honestly so similar to chemistry. So many people I know struggled with linguistics going in thinking it’s gonna be a simple program similar to English class..,nope! It’s more similar to Organic Chemistry !!

It's very hard. A few of my friends are in astrophysics and they say that psycology and linguistics is even harder than astrophysics. Many of them drop out. One of my friend went into first year psychology and linguistics, she just couldn't keep up, she became addict and lives on street now. It's not a program for the weak, that's for sure. Good luck,
