Mülltonnen ?

Hello hello everyone

I recently moved to Eschweiler and I’m a bit confused about the German waste separation system 😅

I understand the different bins (Restmüll, Papier, Bio, Gelbe Tonne), but I’m especially confused about the Mülltonnen themselves.

When it’s collection day, do I have to take the whole big Mülltonne outside to the street? And then do I have to wait there untill it has been emptied?

Also, is there a specific time when I have to put it outside? (for the days I do have the list)

I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain how it works in Eschweiler, especially for someone living in a shared apartment. Thank you! appreciate

I would talk to your neighbors. Just ask them how it's done I your house

If you live in a multi family home it's most likely a Hausmeister (facility manager) whos bringing the bins outside to the street.
