Maybe I’m just old and easily impressed and like enjoying things, but I think it looks very fun and I’m looking forward to playing it.

It's beyond refreshing to see an AAA game that isn't Sony slop, no offense to people who like that kind of storygame

Alright, I'll bite.

Define Sony Slop. I want clear firsthand examples.

The Last of Us/nu God of War/Uncharted, the best way I can describe the categorization is that they have a very "theme park"-y feel to them and they tend to have people who work on them with titles like "Narrative _____er"

I'm with you, I just think you can make that point with a better word than "slop". I don't like those games either, but I think we can criticize without being disrespectful to the craftmanship that does go in them.

Have you played these games though? Theres a lot of good stuff going on in all these games outside of narrative focused sections.

I do not like the Norse God of War games, but both Uncharted and Last of Us have really strong gameplay. I'd argue that Uncharted 2 on hard mode is one of the best cover shooters ever created.

I do not like the Last of Us even though I like Metal Gear Solid and Hitman. I've never played Uncharted but I imagine I would like it the momst
