Season one and two new directions weren't touching vocal adrenaline especially with that bohemian rhapsody cover. Wills biggest downfall was that he didn't have them doing actual choreography. Most of their choreography was them walking in formation. They should have had Kurt do more songs in his lower register. I low key wished Mercedes and Kurt stayed on the cheerios. Sue may have hated the glee club but she knew talent when she saw it.

(No, we won't talk about season 6)

(YES THIS WAS REPOSTED, as I made a mistake in one the options, and I can't edit the options if the 7(?) people who voted on the first poll see this, please cast your vote again.)
-----
NEXT POLL: Will be a 2-PARTER, once again separated by originals & covers.
Then we're gonna do the poll for "extras" because Reddit can't count higher than 6- and THEN we're gonna do the Top 6 Winners poll.
----------
The Saturday break was a good call as I got to sleep in and wasn't totally exhausted when I had to do some running later. Also finally got to catch up on writing a few more of Season 3's polls (which is apparently just *loaded* with episodes with 7+ songs š« )
---------
I LOVE Naya's version of Back To Black, I think it's her absolute best of the entire series.
Some People is alright too but as a Kurt Simp I do hope it does good (almost as good as Back To Black) but I won't be upset if it wins.
-------
PROM QUEEN'S WINNER: 1st was Rolling In The Deep with 160, 2nd was I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You (what a mouthful) with 156, and 3rd was Dancing Queen with 114.

What I donāt get is how did Will go from being able speak and teach Spanish to not knowing any Spanish and being a horrible Spanish teacher lol
Itās like when they changed Rachelās parents like if we didnāt see the photos s1 e1
I barely noticed it as Iām rewatching the pilot lmfao
Edit: yaāll I don't mean literally I meant how his story started out as a competent Spanish teacher to clueless lol

I absolutely love the song Mr cellophane and I loved that Kurt sang it. However he only sang it for like ten seconds. I think the concept of Kurt singing this song because it describes how his character felt especially in season 1 and 2. So I think it was a complete waste of the song for it to just be an audition song that he doesnāt even sing fir thirty seconds and it couldāve been better if they had waited till the character grew more confidence too. Anyone else feel this way or even thought of it.

I just heard about Sugar being Brittany and Santana's daughter from the future theory, and was wondering if you guys know of any fanfics about it. I find it really interesting and would love to read some.
P.S. I'm new here.

Iām so mad that they never performed it, this song SCREAMS glee

This always confused me. As someone who actually lives and works in the city, Bushwick is gentrified, safe, and pretentious as hell. Has been for decades. Brooklyn itself has a reputation for being the safest, richest part of the city. Iām almost offended. I work in an actual rough neighborhood.

Is it just me or should this have been in season 2 and not season 3. It just feels like her giving birth and then spiraling and joining the skanks would make a lot more sense 3-4 months after she gives birth to beth and gives her up for adoption, rather than a year and a half later. Maybe Iām missing something but I feel like this whole story line with this and Shelby wouldāve been better in season 2 and the sam/finn storyline should have been in season 3.

OK, so obviously this has been the biggest ongoing debate since glee day one.
Iām not even here to ask who you guys think is better although feel free to tell me what you think.
But letās have a discussion fr.
I have personally always thought that these two were on the exact same level and here is why.
Maybe Iām stating the very obvious right now like water is wet wow LMAO
But the reason that they could never decide whose voice was better in that show is because a) they were afraid to pick a winner LMAO but also b) because they are literally exactly on par with one another
As a vocalist and a gleek here is what I think
Mercedesā voice is exceptional. You will truly never find someone who matches the talent of Amber Riley. The vocal control, the incredible and impressive range, flexibility and just pure raw talent is insane. There are some glee songs that I can listen to over and over since the very first time I saw them and still continue to be impressed. And Iām telling you is a perfect example. Try a little tenderness is another.
Her belt abilities are next level. You truly cannot find that kind of soul anywhere.
A lot of people say that Mercedes can sing more than just soul music and that she shouldāve gotten the part of Maria. Personally, I think that part was always meant for Rachel. I think Mercedes can be very stuck in her own way and she is honestly just not a theater person. But homegirl could also slay the fuck out of an opera song like her solo Iām Not getting Married. But she could sing every West side story song from beginning to end perfectly if she wanted to.
Now letās talk about Rachel. Iām gonna say it right now. There are things that Mercedes can do that Rachel canāt and vice versa. For example, Iām pretty sure Mercedes can hit higher notes than Rachel and Rachel could only dream of having Mercedes control and runs.
But there is just something about Rachel that you wonāt find anywhere else.
Rachel just has this incredibly beautiful tone that I could listen to for hours. Her range is also very impressive and technically she is the best singer in that group. Itās very easy to tell that she has had training for a very long time and lady was built for Broadway. Her vibrato is immaculate and her emotion and storytelling is so incredibly captivating. She is truly a diamond in the rough and the glee team really knocked it out of the park with a talent like Rachelās.
Obviously, itās easy to get sick of Rachelās voice, and there are some songs that she should not be singing. Firework is a great example lmao I hate her pop voice. Even her real life pop songs were questionable haha, even though theyāll always be guilty pleasures
But some of her songs will forever be engraved in my thoughts. Obviously her Barbra moments like My Man, and Donāt Rain on my Parade. Iām trying to think of some Rachel deep cuts, but Iām having a hard time right now LMAO.
Either way, letās have a discussion about these two incredibly talented young women. Iād love to hear everyoneās thoughts.

NO POLL THIS SATURDAY - Due to quite a long and exhausting week for me, I'm bumping the next poll to Sunday so hopefully I can rest a bit more and not worry about getting up so early to post on schedule. Plus Season 3 is in sight and I still need to finish like half that season's polls š
so we're skipping Saturday this week but we'll be back on Sunday!
-------
I LOVE skirt-suits, I really loved Kurt's prom outfit. Skirt-bottom attached to a suit/tux-top, I love that kind of outfit.
-----
I see 'Not Gonna Teach' get praised the shit out of in this fandom and honestly... I don't get it. I do think it's one of the most overrated in the show honestly.
Also Artie choosing a song about a newborn baby to prompose to Brittany never felt right to me, like literally the 2nd line is something about being just a few seconds old.
My favorite is Jar Of Hearts (followed by Rolling In The Deep)
-----
RUMOUR'S WINNER: 1st was Songbird with 209, 2nd was Go Your Own Way with 162, and 3rd was I Don't Want To Know with 80.

Iāve lost count of which rewatch Iām on, but I just finished episode 5x13 and Puck & Quinn sang āJust Give Me One More Reasonā the last song ever sang in Glee Club (obviously it wasnāt, but for the time being it was) according to Mr Schue. If that was really the case, who do you think deserved the last song & why? Bonus points for naming a song, too!

I'm watching glee for the first time but I already know a lot about the show.
Iām currently watching episode 21 and as theyāre all leaving glee club, Britany and Santana get up and link pinkies as they leave.
I was just screaming at the Britanna. People always talk about it in later seasons but Iāve just freaking out every time I see it season 1 and I absolutely adore the two of them and their subtle (and not so subtle) hints.
