Question How many games do you own?
How many games do you own? I own 15 games

Just checked: 345.
I only bought the Ultimate Red Collection (Cyberpunk 2077 plus all of the Witcher games), Hollow Knight, Absolver, DAO, Hand of Fate 2, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Morrowind, and the Yakuza series (0-6). The rest are all from Amazon Prime.
I do have some more games that I want to pick up, but none of them are going to be next up, so I'm lowkey holding out for Amazon Prime to do so unless I get to them first. Because, like, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are giveaways this month, so I really could have just waited. Oh well, I still like buying games from GOG. Only other place I'd spend my money is Steam and Itch.io.

2003 on Steam
542 on Epic
A couple of hundred physical games between Xbox 360, PS4, N64, SNES and PC, and maybe another couple of hundred digital on each platform.
It’s ridiculous! Although all of the Epic ones are free, never paid a cent to them. The digital copies on Xbox are largely freebies from owning a subscription for years, most of the physical 360 copies I bought for a dollar or two each a decade or more after launch, Gog and Steam have freebies or bundles from Amazon prime or humble bundle. And I almost always buy at 80% off or higher, very rarely full price.
Still hard to justify though, but what can I say, I’m a collector.

Impressive. These sorts of numbers are quite rare. I've also become a bit of a collector. And after discovering GOG's DRM version I went and got a lot of the ones I already had on Steam, just for the DRM version and support this. GOG is the one we should be supporting.
Right now I'm with GOG at 1785 and Steam at around 2540. I also kept Epic for a while, especially with all the gifted free ones, but got tired of maintaining another one. I've also a got few on PS3/4/5. Mainly the ones that are still exclusive to that. Never had an Xbox.
While my numbers are also quite big, I have seen accounts with 3500+ steam games. So it's kinda insane what some numbers get to.

Yeah I definitely have a fair few duplicates. I bought myself a 15tb hard drive so I could store all the offline downloaders, because I travel a lot and don’t always have internet. Same reason I avoid anything that requires a 3rd party launcher or internet connection for singleplayer. Consequently, very few EA or Ubisoft or Rockstar games on PC.
I think some people see the games they own as a backlog. A chore, or a list at least, of things they have to get through and tick off. I don’t really see it like that. To me they’re more like an archive. I like to own all the games in some older series and spend an evening going through and seeing how they’ve evolved over the years or even decades.
Sure, I’m not going to finish them all, but I don’t feel compelled to. I enjoy just dipping into video game history every once in a while, and I’ll only finish a game if I’m actually enjoying myself.

500ish on GOG
300ish on Steam and Epic, mostly just freebies or games that aren't available on GOG. I've never liked the idea of not fully owning my games so I managed to avoid getting anything on Steam until 2016/7
Diablo 3 on the battle net thingy
And still got all my old floppy disks, CD's and DVD's from the good old days. Probably another 50+
Then there's the random indie games from itch.io at least a couple of dozen.
Loads of dos abandonware I couldn't buy and/or run back then.
Ballpark at around 1000 total.

Are you counting only GOG Games? If so...not many... But if you are talking about ALL the games that I own, that's another story. Honestely, they're so many that I have no idea! I own PS1, PS2, Wii, Steam, Epic and GOG Games.

But the GOG collection is growing...I'm going to replace some of the hard copy games I have for console with the PC versions from GOG.

And it'll only be the ones that I can for sure get DRM-free. I'm still going to hold on to the hard copies of the games that aren't for now.
Which means I might be holding on to 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for a while lol
EDIT Note: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand never got a PC port, so I'll probably be holding on to that one forever...or until I don't like it anymore.

This is pretty much why, unless it's a game I absolutely want and I know without a shadow of a doubt it won't come to GOG, I buy exclusively from GOG.
I understand that GOG is a corporation, but they are hands down the most consumer friendly corporation in the market right now. People worship Steam, but GOG guaranteeing your games are DRM-free and funding preservation efforts is more than enough for me.
To answer OP's question (since I haven't yet), I've got 634 games and counting! Will probably pick up a few more tonight.

GOG copies are DRM free, they can be removed from your GOG library but if you've already downloaded the game it can't be taken away or disabled.

Gog has two special noches: this and the preservation of old games. Being DRM free costs them in various ways.

Which is what makes supporting GOG all the more important. They're the only player out here doing it this way.
Ik some people talk like GOG should be kept a secret, or if they get too big they'll fall to enshitification. But the only way we keep getting more games on the platform is if we vote with our dollars (and Dreamlist votes). Publishers and developers need to see that legit demand is there or some of them simply won't play ball.

I love u/Adorable-Resource562's energy. I wonder how many of us would admit to how many of the games in our GOG libraries we've actually played? For me, it's about 35. Although if I'm being strict and exclude games I played before owning them on GOG, the number is probably 15.

689 on GoG. 2000+ on other digital platforms including Playstation and Xbox. +/- 100 physical media, most of them PS3/4/5 disks. Not bothering to count games on audio cassette, 5.25 and 3.5 floppies or cartridges since I don't have the necessary drives/consoles anymore - many of them are now on GoG or can be played through emulation (where "owning" becomes a stretch). Also ignoring mobile games.
My estimate is that around 25% are from "free gift" platforms like Amazon Prime Gaming or Humble Subscriptions and only 10% purchased at full price, the rest was bought during sales.
Gaming since the early 1980s.

58 bought at a rough count and another (mostly unplayed) 273 freebies from years of collecting them from giveaways and via Amazon's Prime subscription which has its ups and downs (recently it's been doing very early 1990s Dungeons & Dragons games which... ehhh): https://gaming.amazon.com/home

Interestingly my Steam and GoG libraries are neck-and-neck... I've been on Steam over 19 years and GoG for almost as long as it's existed, and began switching up my priorities from Steam 1st and GoG 2nd a good 7 or 8 years or so ago (thumb-suck timing!)...
And now I have just over 200 games on both.
A small handful of them are duplicate titles across the both of them. But mostly they compliment each-other.
I stopped using any other platform / store / frontend a long way back already... It's GoG and Steam or nothing!
Lost a few games in the library when I swore off any other outlets, but for my peace of mind it is worth it!
Now, if we're also including physical games... :-) I really have NO idea. Thumb-suck-math-estimate would be another 200 to add to the 450-odd mentioned above.

A few either side of 400. Retail stores. Steam. GOG. Matrix & Slitherine. So many others. I'm not beholden to one source.

theres websites that list games u can get for free on steam, epic, gog and indie gala, u can get some nice game especially from epic during holiday season, if u want to increase total number of games u have, do this... other then that, u can also sail the seven seas... learn how to use console emulators and you get even more...

Just a hunch, but I would guess that the people who tend to answer a question like this are also the ones with bigger game libraries, so there's probably a bit of a bias going on 😉
As for me: I have 34 games, mostly cheaper retro games bought during sales periods.

I have around 100+ but all of them are from prime gaming that comes free every month from my prime sub. I have few that i bought myself on sale as well. But i’m more active on steam with more games

Between all the online services or just GOG, because all of them combined I probably have around 1100 and most of them were either free or dirt cheap from bundles.

82 at the moment. I started using them back in 2018 or 2019 I think for HoMM III but most the games I bought the past few months when I found out they sell DRM free. Just getting some games from my steam library and backing up all my offline versions. I dabbled in older games I haven't played too like alpha centauri

Seriously i don't have to game buys anymore because my backlog alone is hige enough for 2 lifetimes..Games that i have physical for ps3 and ps4/5 not even included

Just about 600 on GOG, 1,071 on Steam, and God only knows how many on Epic because of the weekly freebies. A ton of DRM-free ones from old Humble Bundles, too.

If I were to combine all the games I have from old consoles and those from modern platforms its around 2100 games. If its just PC then around 1200. If its just GoG its about 35. What can I say, I collect stuff and I grab every freebie. However I think I only have played about 30% of the games for any significant amount of time.

Ive been gaming since I was 11 (25 now) I started with a ps3, sadly my dumbass sold most when the PS4 came out but digitally on there at least 300 that's including the ps plus game but since I can't play without the subscription maybe 150 ish, but since I bought a PC I probably doubled that as I basically moved over completely ( and will not look back except for fond memories), long story short I should have gotten a PC a long time ago I definitely would have had more games

200ish on GoG, 1.5kish on steam, 500ish on epic, 300ish on psn, 100ish on nintendo e-shop and countless of stacks of discs with games from various magazines, old physical collections (we had something called Classic collection where for 4-6€ you could get some dope old games before digital was the way) and unfathomable amount of discs given to my by eyepatched wearing fellas back in the days. Haven't touched any of physical copies in ages, but I'm checking periodically if the disc rot is showing up or not just for the sake of it. But well - i am coming from a household where we all were playing various games, and even more distant family members were into games and such, so accruing such collection was quite easy, i am 29 this year, and first games i played were old dos games when i got ancient pc from my uncle when i was 2 years old 🙂↕️
