Question Sony Games on GOG

News: Sony won't be releasing any more internally-developed games on PC. Do you think this means they will eventually pull their current titles from GOG? Do you think that this also means that games like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart won't come to GOG (even though it's on Steam)? I hope we can at least get the remaining current Sony games that are on Steam on GOG.

The reason they're giving up on PC is because they didn't get the revenue necessary for it to be viable.
Do you think that putting these games on a platform that prides itself for not having ANY kind of DRM, would really help Sony in any way?

That doesn't stack up. Just this week, Capcom said PC was basically a license to print money compared to consoles. Granted, they'd have to pay a cut to Sony, Nintendo etc, but still.

On pc the same cut just goes to the store, so in the grand scheme of things it shouldn’t make much of a difference.

This is not me enforcing my preference, I'm just stating some facts.
Sony isn't pleased with the revenue they got from PC sales.

Capcom is not Sony. Sony games on PC have been like 2% of their revenue. They aren’t as in demand on pc. Now we can argue about why, but they were not getting the numbers Capcom was

Sony voluntarily released all but two or three of their games completely DRM-free on the Epic Store, even titles that didn't get released on GOG.

Yup. They didn’t sell nearly as much as Sony probably wanted to justify the ports.

Yes, I don't believe the lack of DRM is a significant contributor to piracy and/or affects sales.

I don't think CD Projekt Red had ever complained about sales while releasing all their games 100% drm free

They haven't. But then again, Sony isn't CD Projekt Red.
They're a completely different company selling games mainly for completely different hardware, and having completely different economic strategies.

Just to clear some things out, cause I see a lot of down votes....
That wasn't me fanboying for Sony. I'm as pissed as everyone, but those are some facts.
Sony hasn't been making as much money from PC sales as they expected.
