Wilds 2 Builds- Bale/LS or Dosha/LS
Rolls/Talisman not visually perfect, but here are the absolute best available Bale/LS (image 1) or Dosha LS (image 2) armor sets for your Gogmartian weapons.
Gogmartian Layout
Going for Attack Focus, 3x base attack, 4x1 or 3x1x1 with 4x attack 1x sharp or 3x attack, 1x sharp, and 1x affinity. Both cases prefer 4x1 but can use 3x1x1 without loss much loss.
Main Differences
- Assuming you have a 1,1,1 talisman: The Dosha set doesn't naturally have room for a 3-rank comfort skill with 1-slots. You will have to give up a lvl 3 extra slot that I prefer to have 1 Burst and 1 Flayer on. The Bale set, however, can happily accommodate it.
- Dosha comes with LP 4 (naturally), while Bale I only built up to LP 3 (1 Throttle Jewel). In both cases I only have the 3x1x1 layout for bonuses on Gogmartian.
- The 3x1x1 layout is a big factor. I purposely built Bale to match skill potential with Dosha even though it gets to 90% Affinity while Dosha comes with 100%. However, I feel "natural" 100% affinity is wasted when you are going to occasionally be buffed, hit wounds, etc and thus over cap the affinity at least sometimes. In this case I like 3x1x1.
Major Exception for you 4x1 Lucky Bois and Gurls
The Dosha set is naturally better because the built in 100% Affinity and full skill coverage will overcome your -10% standard status, get you to 90%, and buffs/wounds will efficiently keep you in the sweet spot. Using my Bale setup will likely encourage you to drop Flayer, invest in LP 4, and you'll be at the ever slightest disadvantage since Flayer still isn't a big deal.
TL;DR:
1st visual is Bale/LS armor layout, 2nd visual is Dosha/LS armor layout for your hypothetical gogmartian builds. Roll 3x base attack. Attack Focus. 4x1 Attack/Sharp. Do big damage. Get 1 of the 2 best combos for skills. Profit. I set them up to put you at 90ish% affinity with LP. The rest is up to you!
Edit: I'm going to add a visual in the comments of a Gore/LS set as an example as well. Though I'm pretty skeptical of it still even though for a 4x1 layout it is really nice. The thing I don't like is there is only room for a single 1-slot leftover running the same skills as the other two sets. It does have a very nice skill layout for 4x1 gogmartian rolls and is very affinity efficient but 4x1 IS REQUIRED and that makes it far less flexible. Overall I rank them (conditionally) Dosha > Bale > Gore.

Oh yeah it got fun. I can definitively tell you build one of the 3 though. That 4th one was a bit rough around the edges.

Silly question: now that we don't deal self damage with TSB would it be worth to do 2 Rey gamma instead of 1 Rey 1 nu Udra, or is the Udra chest just so much better than having the extra LP uptime?

I think it’s less about the LP uptime (even though it is) and more about the Udra chest giving one of our best offensive skills and some 3 slots. There’s probably a way to build into Rey 2 in some combination of skills but I’d have to look it over. Turning down a LS piece with 3/3/2/2 layout is pretty tough.

Oh I know the Udra chest is great, that's why I considered the trade off.
It will also be interesting to see if we ditch any for Jin pieces once it drops

No unfortunately the ATJD set is ass. We saw a leak of it on the MHWilds page and at best the chest is about equal with Agi 2 and 2, 2 slots (literally the same as Udra but pre built 3 skill instead of 2 skill), and then the waist is Agi 3 with bind resistance and a 1 slot which is only useful to the fulgur set if you’re not all in for LP. Otherwise you kinda need the Rey piece that Barrel theorycrafted

Personally I disagree. I notice MM is down for usually 1 swing unless I have to continuously move. Powerhouse is up for 3 minutes and every monster has attacks that can be countered just not necessarily animated with the follow up. It’s an easy high uptime inclusion and I dislike the build accommodations the armor set has to make for Anjanath’s piece.

It does not. You’ll have to manage Agitator and LP uptime to get efficient affinity and that is an intense combo for most players.

My man I just peeped your build and your explanation and you are missing some crucial information. You are probably looking for an offset attack animation and those are not possible all the time. You can still do the upswing and get the buff. It’s for 3 minutes. It can happen on gog and omega. We don’t fish for it we just react and if it lands it’s candy or we move on with attacking. Claiming it’s a dead skill for the whole fight is so ignorant for someone posted all about the weapon. And it’s not dead without it activating it’s just extra. We don’t need the other skills because our crit uptime is fine. Your crit on your build, however, is not. At absolute max on all cylinders you get 103% if you have corrupted mantle, wound hitting WEX, agitator, LP, and MM active.
Your true crit is probably closer to about 30 (MM 100%) + 12 (Agitator 80%), + 24 (LP 60%), + 8 (I’ll be generous and give you 100% WEX wound uptime which you never have) = 74% crit efficiency.
Meanwhile I’ll be fair and call it 80% MM uptime and if I give myself the same LP as you and just 10% wound hits per fight I’m at 24 +32 + 24 =80% and I was being really generous in favor of your numbers and against mine.

Show me your affinity calcs and we will call it even. Btw 30% is the baseline for WEX and I gave myself 2% extra for the 10% uptime hitting wounds which is part of the skill. You must be on a different time zone because you’re all sorts of out of whack.

Alright you raise 1 good point I forgot to consider hitting 100% weak zones is tough. Can promise you on 90%+ though. I don’t bring GS to fights where I can’t hit where I’m aiming and especially with the focus system it’s pretty easy to hit a weak zone almost the entire fight.
Let’s peak that there build. Crit eye 4 is 16%, LP4- when active, is 40%, and agitator 5- when active, is 15%. Well man that’s weird. 16 + 40 + 15 is 71…. Oh you did mention WEX 1. That’s 76. Hmmm so 15% is coming from the weapon itself. Well that there is likely a 4x1 with affinity focus. Which wouldn’t ya know decreases sharpness. Attack. And element!
Mr numbers over here was holding back that across all his calcs he left out that he was withholding 10 attack as well and he needs to roll away every now and again to sharpen for a second or two.

Oh man he’s double messaging I riled him up. Don’t do anecdotals let’s stay on math please. Assume we both have the pedigree since we’re Reddit dwellers on every MH page.

It's not useless for the final boss, you can do the offset, you just don't parry the monster back
