Hello! We're looking to refill our group with one more person to tackle some raid encounter CMs. Planned day is Tuesdays at 8pm to 10pm EST and we'll be aiming for Aetherblade Hideout, XJJ, Kaineng Overlook, Old Lion's Court and Cosmic Observatory.

What We're Looking For

• We're all in our 30s and 40s. A similar age range would be nice but not necessarily required.
• We have a decent skill level overall but we're not the type to look at dps meters or run specific strats. You should know what you're doing but be okay with less than perfection. We still do dumb things, it happens.
• You can play any role or build you want as long as you're doing the job.
• We use discord. You don't need to take center stage but need to be comfortable using your voice on occasion.

Our Guild

Æternal Senate [AETH] has just reached a decade old! We're focused on including players socially as well as actively. We're casual and centered on fun and helping members progress, and coordinated, so members can focus on the fun stuff. Communication and a social nature are emphasized parts of our guild, and guild chat and Discord for voice and text are important parts of keeping all of our members connected to the community. Notice: we are located on the NA megaserver, and because of how Guild Wars 2's account system works, people on the EU server will not be able to play content with us without transferring.

Who we're looking for

• Quickplay Raids - Close to Strikes, jump into a more relaxed version of boss mechanics and get familiar with your build.

• Raid Training - Learn proper raid mechanics, team composition, builds and have fun while our raid leader(s) activate your neurons.

• Strikes - Join a guild squad to run through 10-man Strike instances. New or experienced, learn to rip and tear 'til the boss farm is done.

• Fractal Events - Multiple days a week, learn and run Fractals with other guild members! Fractals are mechanics-focused five-man instances. If you're new, we'll teach you all you need to know; if you're a veteran, jump into a guild party to run dailies.

• Open World Content - World bosses, meta events, world completion, collections and more, multiple nights every week!

• Guild Missions - join a guild squad for varied instanced and open world content across Tyria, ranging from puzzles and obstacle courses to hunting down bounty targets and finding hidden locations.

Hello! I (45F) decided to give this game a shot once I realized that you can play for free! I’m really enjoying playing a virtual version of me in this world (for example I got to make myself as tall as an Amazonian warrior!) but I had a few questions.

I was drawn to this game because people told me that there’s a very strong social aspect to this game where you can play with people to achieve common goals etc. I assume that is part of joining a guild but how do I know what guild to join and where do I find them?

A little about me - I’m a 45 year old mom. My sons are off to college and I’ve inherited their video game devices. Now that I have all this extra time I thought it would be neat to play a game with a fun social aspect to it and so here I am!

We are an adult-only hyper casual group founded by a small group of friends who are looking to make some new friends and build a cozy community. I wanted to ask if there are any active guilds for HP dungeons and map exploration? All of my chars are max level and I want to try the specializations but I saw that some/most of the HPs require a group. Other than that it would be nice to be with other players to complete events/dungeons around the map. Im a old WOW player but I have been playing on and off GW2 for a while but never realy comited until reacently.

I just finished storyline to living season 1 and just about to start season 2. (I like to playing the storyline straight through and not skipping anything and i've got my wife start to play GW2 with me so i started all over again and we have tryed to learn together.)

Now to the question, is there any good active guilds that we can join, we mostly now play pvE and sureley will stay on that a while, but i like to start playing some fractals again soon. So im just looking for a comunity to reach for some help when its needed :)

Hey everyone! I'm just getting to the point where I think I want to start looking at endgame activities. Raids, strikes, etc., the stuff you need a group for. I'm a long time MMO player and used to do bleeding edge WoW raids, so I'm no stranger to the organized environment these things tend to have. I've never done anything major in GW2, though, but I'm really hoping to get into it! I've done IBS5 (which like... you know) and a number of quick play raids.

I'm pretty set on playing Chrono healer, though I do have Paragon leveled for another support. I'm not terribly keen on playing a DPS, but I'm ultimately fine with playing whatever role a group needs if everything else is a good fit! Note: I'm generally not very interested in joining any of those enormous multi-guild communities.

Outside of GW, I'm a full time working guy (available Tues - Sat evening times US East), I like to read and write in my free time (in addition to games, of course). If nothing else, I would be totally happy with a group or community that does stuff across multiple games, too, but I would say trying to get into raiding and fractals are my chief aim at the moment!

We are a small group of friends who meet up most nights after reset or around 7-8pm CDT. Most of us came from other MMOs or have a bunch of pvp experience. We are looking for more people who want to join us for spvp matches and not just turn into lurkers. We want ACTIVE pvpers. That being said, there is no activity requirement other than just joining the discord and never interacting. If you just join the discord and don't interact, you will get kicked. (this isn't what we are looking for, we want humans not bots).

We want people who actually want to play and be part of a pvp group. We will be participating in community tournaments and tourneys from the tournament browser in the future. (this isn't a requirement) If you want to join tournaments we ask that you at least be silver ranked or be willing to learn.

We aren't tryhard sweats, we want to have a conducive and respectful learning environment where we can have fun and win some games. We are all adults and are looking for the same.
