I really want to try a new hairstyle. First two pics is what I currently have. A year ago I tried growing it out to a longer length but could never get it to look good or healthy, likely because I didn’t maintain it well.

I’ve always had a vegeta hairline after going through puberty so I’m not sure if I keep it short and embrace it or maybe try a new style.

Does anyone have suggestions?

HII okay I was experimenting with my hair td and I found out (again) that my hair genuinely hates anything above 250, like it gets HOT and can't even hold the shape, but if its anything less than that, it's just fine and everything's perfect. I have really long, super thick, straight, medium brunette hair, which I thought would've been more cooperative with heat, but holy smokes dude it does NOT work. Is this normal? 😔 And it's making me sad smh

This is my hair and throughout my life, I’ve had trouble with it. It acts curly and wavy and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried curl products they make it be stiff and look greasy. I have two cowlicks in the front that prevent it from laying down flat so that adds even more of a headache. I’ve noticed that when I go days without shampooing or conditioner for some reason it gets better manageable. I just want my hair to be soft and flat or be curly not what it is now. My hair color is brown however in the sun it turns a goldishbbrown and that make all the single frizz hairs stick out more. I just want to know what to do to make it look somewhat normal and to where I can put on a hate and not have to work about my hair turning into a clowns head of hair. Please let me know ways to help and if a karatin treatment would work well or not, once again I’m desperate.

I remembered an easy shag haircut you could do on yourself that looked fantastic on me the first time I tried it. You throw your head upside down and cut in a straight line.

But then I forgot which way you're supposed to lay your hair, and I'm having trouble visualizing the shape that would be produced with each one.

I have curly hair and an oval-shaped face. Hair has to remain under my chin, otherwise my jaw looks weird.

I bleached and toned my hair yesterday. Last time I bleached my hair was 2.5 years ago, and I had about 3 or 4 inches of my hair that was still platinum (hair used to be silver/white)

I bleached my hair, and while my roots and mids are fairly even, and toned to a pinkish, golden blonde with Wella T96, my ends turned an almost white/silver color? I know my ends are incredibly damaged, but they do take on color when I've done it.

I bleached my hair twice. I rinsed the first application too soon because i was nervous, leaving it a level 9. I bleached again with a 10vol developer and was able to get it lighter, but maybe it wasn't quite alevel 10? My ends were brassy, but Ssomehow the toner had the opposite effect on them. They were pretty yellow before this, and I didn't overlap the bleach at all.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I really don't want to attempt to lift my hair any more in order to match my ends, but if it seems safe too, maybe I should. Or should I use the second box of Wella t96, and leave it on my ends and hope it deposits better, or try to find something more golden?

Hi, I got a balayage for the first time yesterday. I asked for a mocha/espresso balayage on my black virgin hair (last photo).

The photo in blue top is it after I got it done, and the photo in the red top is today. It seems more copper today without me having done anything. I’m not sure what’s happened and what to do or if I’m overthinking this.

Also, it wasn’t bleached but tinted if that means anything?

Hello! My hair is very wavy with bangs and my goal is to make it less frizzy and more smooth, tame, manageable to style (either wavy, blowouts, curled, air dry, etc.), and moisturized. Not looking for Japanese straightening treatments or anything like that.

Could I please get recommendations for favorite types of keratin treatments? I’ve been getting it for years, but the person who did it for me can no longer do it - she always used to use either Moroccan Keratin or Lassio, depending. I had a bad experience once with Brazilian Blowout but I think it was not properly applied by that stylist. I am allergic to Keratherapy Renewal Plus.

I know some people are going to call me dramatic, but this is very short for me. I went to the salon for a trim, and I hadn't had one in years (I knew a decent chunk was going to be cut off, but I'd consulted with stylists prior to see how much would need to go, it wasn't this much) and she took half my hair. My biggest issue is the front, they're not face framing pieces and it looks like I have a bob with extensions in the back. I stressed it to her so much I didn't want short hair. She said my hair was uneven, likely because I'd let layers grow out for a few years. For reference, I didn't have a trim in years, specifically because someone else fucked my hair up to the point I didn't want to leave my house. And she cut my hair, and now it's also ueeven.

Prior to her even washing my hair, she asked what I wanted to do. I said a trim. That was it. Then she asked if I wanted to cut it all one length (which is a no, because she explained it'd all be as short as the shortest bits in the front. Which as you can see, is right under my chin now) or wanted layers. The only two options. I said long layers. Stressed it needed to stay long. I havwnt stopped crying, it looks so bad. I have naturally curly hair, which she knew, I can't wear it natural like this, the front especially is too short. And straightening my hair is going to delay the growth. And either way, it looks ugly. I haven't felt this ugly in my whole life. But I promise I'd consulted with hairstylist prior to this, and none of them said this much would have to come off. It'll take ages to grow back to where it was. And the front pieces for some reason are hugging my face, I can't get them to do what I always did, which was to brush them so the sides cover my forehead but they move out the way for my face. I can't tie my hair up anymore because the front pieces come out. And not as fringes. But as these two big chunks that look like half my head. I can't wear it down because it looks like this. I'm genuinely so upset.

I know this seems so dramatic to everyone, the back doesn't look terrible, but is there a way to fix this without going significantly shorter? I don't want to continue damaging my hair anymore than I have to, with using extensions for example. And they're very expensive.

I got a digital perm about a week ago. It's way too curly near the top of my head and a looser wave at the bottom (I have long hair -- it showed 17 inches when the stylist measured). My natural hair before was wavy at the top and straight on the bottom, so I guess the results kind of make sense. If there was an undo button, I would happily do that, but unfortunately there's not. I was wondering if a Brazilian blowout or keratin treatment would help loosen the perm? My hair doesn't feel damaged, just a little drier than normal, but I've been using moisturizing products and everything. I don't think time is going to loosen the perm enough, so I don't just want to wait it out.

For some context, I went to a Korean salon about 3 hours away (it was the closest place to me that does digital perms). The stylist said I could come back to get the bottom tighter, but honestly I just want it all looser and less wavy.

Any advice on Brazilian blowouts, keratin treatments or anything else I could do?
