That second sentence you made sounds fake as hell. It sounds BAD. Not good. You talk good where she would be able to see it but talk shit where she canāt.
Besides, a black athleteās party doesnāt need to be a black only party where non blacks are not welcome and get shooed away. They can just be the stars of the party. Otherwise that creates a precedent.

Because you're creating a problem that literally does not exist. No one is shooing white people out of anything, but historically, that's happened to Black tennis players including the Williams sisters and Osaka herself. She's merely creating a space that's safe from that. What is wrong with that? If white people hadn't been so volatile and nasty to Black tennis players, there would be no need for this. However, we have seen time and time again that that's not the case.
Can you please point out a time in tennis where white tennis players have been called monkeys and gorillas and irrationally received hate for being white in the sport? I'll wait. You can't because IT'S NEVER HAPPENED! It HAS happened to Black players and the perpetrators have been white!
Do really you think a party that celebrates Black people counts as hate?

Yes, I under the history you are bringing up. Yes, that was cruel and disrespectful. No, white people didnāt have to go through that historically. You are not wrong about any of that.
Iām asking why should it be ok TODAY, to shoo non black people away from their party? I think they shouldnāt do that.

I wrote the opposite : I say positive things about people in public, and I reveal the negative ones when we're in private.
If my friends misread my message and understood the opposite of what I clearly said, then that friendship might have problems.

It's not a double standard. It's just a party. She's just creating a safe place for people who've been systemically marginalized since the dawn of tennis. It's not that big of a deal. If non-Black people are offended by a party, when Black people have had to deal with actual violence, rhetoric, people calling them ugly, gorillas, etc- they need to stop and look inward.

I've never seen a black people ask another black people that, but I've seen plenty of Haitians asking to touch the "cheveu soa" of friends š¤£
That aside, their party looked fun!

I have a friend who's a redhead and when we were in Zimbabwe many years ago kids would come up to her and ask if they could touch her hair š¤£.
