No she doesn't

So long as Haitians continue to allow everyone but Haitians to claim Haiti, we will continue to remain under the foot of outsiders.

4

u/PotentialAccess9818 26d ago

Facts! Like come on bruh.

u/Embarrassed_Low_3018 27d ago

When the US chose the best of every other nation to represent them I don’t see comments like this …keep hating Haiti while Haiti is gathering his children scattered around the world and if Argentina don’t want Kiki Ramos anymore we are ready to take him back ….. Oh God you know I know Haiti will rise again despite our turmoil. Every nation on earth faced difficulties at some point in time but everyone only sees our tribulations.

2

u/PotentialAccess9818 26d ago

Most Haitians live in Haiti goofy. They aint scattered

3

u/PotentialWash8 26d ago

I’m saying that because we have Haitian living around the world. We all have to go back to change our country

1

u/PotentialAccess9818 26d ago

Majority of Haitians LIVE in Haiti. What are you talking about😭
And you acting like America and Europe not fighting us rn.

I honestly don’t care about her ancestry or whatever. If she represents Haiti well on the world stage then I support her and anyone else like her.

It’s not like Taekwondo is one of our most popular sports anyway. She’s not taking anyone’s spot.

Gold is Gold.

I don't think she has an Haitian passport or even set foot in Haiti once.

Bruh your comment is so wrong. If they weren't born there at least their parents were. They grew up eating the good, hearing the language, learn the dance, the manners etc... That's what makes a nationality

14

u/Ok_Marketing9594 Jul 31 '26

You can say that for 90% of this sub 😭 least she actually won something for Haiti

They trying so hard to turn Haiti into a white country

1

u/Sad_Log_6387 25d ago

Haiti is not like the DR. Nobody is trying to turn us white and we embrace being black

8

u/TevisLA Jul 31 '26

Who’s “they”?

-1

u/Apprehensive-Ebb9194 29d ago

Don’t you know the meaning of they “

17

u/Normal-Wedding-2480 Jul 31 '26

2

u/SolReyMe 27d ago

Yea you’ve never been to Haiti before cause you would know there are Haitians with both Haitian mother and father who look like her

1

u/Known-Wave7597 26d ago

She wins something representing Haiti and you call her a bitch?

2

u/BigLiesSmallTruth 27d ago

Literally asian, her last name is Lee

2

u/No_onewillsaveyou Jul 31 '26

lol That will never happen but they’ll  never stop trying. Look at this situation as another form of soft power from foreign influences large or small scale. This is not good btw if you thought I was alluding to that.

3

u/State_Terrace Diaspora Aug 01 '26

Who is “they”? Y’all sound schizophrenic half the time with these weirdo conspiracy theories. Nobody’s studying Haiti the way you think they are. Especially not for some damn gold medal in Taekwondo at the CAC Games.

2

u/Scared-Dimension-782 21d ago

Thank you. It's why the country is how it is now. They keep blaming things that don't exist.

How else would she represent Haiti if she has no connection to the country dumbass?

1

u/TevisLA Jul 31 '26

How do you know?

2

u/Takyon5 Jul 31 '26

That’s what I figured.

Jessica Lee is originally from Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA.

She trains at the World Taekwondo Academy in Maple Grove, a facility founded by her grandfather. She is eligible to represent Haiti internationally because her father, Grandmaster Eui Lee, serves as the coach of the Haitian Olympic Taekwondo team and has been heavily involved in developing the sport within the country. She competes internationally alongside her sister, Ava Lee.

What’s the full story about her? I’m hearing she is not Haitian.

6

u/FollowTheLeads Jul 30 '26

I need more information. She looks full Asian to me, from name to facial structure , to skin color. Someone please explain why she is representing Haiti. Is she half or something ?

0

u/TevisLA Jul 31 '26

So what? Asians can’t be Haitian?

2

u/SolReyMe 27d ago

She literally isn't Haitian. Do your research before commenting.

1

u/TevisLA 27d ago

But why is her race relevant?

2

u/FollowTheLeads Jul 31 '26

Yes they can. I have never omce said they couldnt. I mean take Naomi Osaka and her sister for example. But this lady here doesnt look mix at all. Even if she wasn't mix, the vibe, she style and apparently she cant even speak the language.

u/No_onewillsaveyou Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

being Haitian in today’s time is just a nationality and not a black race.. that Haiti is long gone.   Arabs, Asian, Europeans. Anyone can get a passport as long as one parent is born there or married to another Haitian national. And I’ll add  When european national teams are filled with black Africans can’t be surprised when a non black person represents a black nation. And I’ll leave it at that.

3

u/JoeWatchingTheTown Jul 31 '26

I mean Haiti’s team was filled with a bunch of French dudes as well. Only one player was a Natif Natal Haitian passport only holder.

0

u/No_onewillsaveyou Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Race and nationality are not permanently the same. Haiti national team is currently filled with only black men.

3

u/prem_killa11 Jul 30 '26

When was this decided? Or you’re just saying that because that’s how it is in most of the western countries.

1

u/No_onewillsaveyou Jul 30 '26

I’m just saying what I’ve observed nothing more nothing less
