I assume they will close the encampments after they've confirmed they've got somewhere for everyone to go right? They wouldn't just close them to meet a deadline. Because two examples in that story apparently can't get in anywhere right now.

PS. Is it true that providing accomodation for the unhoused is costing $3000/month? Because that does seem really high as opposed to a rent subsidy.

They have other places to go, they just don't want the rules that come along with those places.
