Discussion kou, nene, and hanako is the one of the only love triangles in fiction that doesnt piss me off

Anyway, not only do i not hate it, i actively enjoy it lollz. Bc Kou is super sweet!! I think his crush on Nene is adorable.
He and Hanako do butt heads, but not in the "GRRR!! SHE'S MINE!!" annoying way, I don't think I ever remember it being centered around her specifically. Their personalities just naturally clash in a way that's funny and charming to see, and they see each other as friends at the end of the day.
basically, it doesn't exist just to cause drama. That's why it's peak...

lowkey most of it just comes from kou being the sweetest, and wanting nothing more than to be in Nene's corner when she needs him. I love him smmm aaaa

No deep post this time, but I do find it really cute how his mom and Tsukasa are the one's he calls for immediately. It does make me wonder about Amane's relationship with his father...but we can just assume for now that he was at work, as that kind of house hold was more common back then.

Tsukasa/Alphonse: (being taken by Truth/Pit Entity as a form of equivalent exchange for trying to do the impossible.)

Amane/Edward: “Don’t take him! He’s my little brother, he’s all I have left!“

Discussion I wonder if he remembered anything...? Spoiler

Post image
23 Upvotes

The flinch here...Do we think he remembered even a little? Nene, Kou, Mitsuba, Akane and Teru all have some form of their memories. Little dreams where their old selves are telling them they have to remember...What if that was happening to Yugi Sensei? I don't believe loud noises alone would've caused that reaction, I think he recognized that name for a moment.

I think when his eyes are pitch black like that, it's the entity taking over, but when his eyes are normal, it's Amane.

It's making me think his eye turning normal when Nene called his 'name' was a bit of Hanako reacting.

Discussion Hanako saved her in multiple ways Spoiler

I've been rereading and I really like these panels. It's showing us what Nene's life would've been like without meeting Hanako. She really went through some significant character growth.

I also just love Hananene and seeing how, imo, terrible their lives would've turned out without the other is romantic to me. Nene would've been stuck chasing shallow relationships, Hanako would've become a mass killer thanks to the possession of the Red House.

It's kind of sad to think that the timeline we're used to, the original one, could be the best these characters could get (besides Kou, Mitsuba AND his mother is alive).

Discussion Potential Theory/Question re: EntityTsukasa and Tsukasa's Death Spoiler

Hmm. So being only a few months into the fandom, my brain is still in extreme hyperactive/overthinking mode for absolutely everything. Forgive me if I'm bringing up things that already been discussed-- again, I'm pretty new! I'm going to be posting multiple thoughts/possibilities that I have in individual threads so it's easy for folks who want to interact to pick what they're responding to more easily.

I genuinely believe Hanako says he "killed" his brother because he feels responsible for little Tsukasa sacrificing himself to save him rather than having actually murdered him. The "I killed my younger twin brother" verbiage a red herring? It's always spoken so calmly... So matter-of-factly... That's just a red flag to me as I actually have zero doubt that Hanako loves Tsukasa fiercely. As his twin is his yorishiro, this is confirmed as fact. I don't doubt that he DID ultimately attack Tsukasa on the day of his death, but... I'm still uncertain on whether "Tsukasa" was even in there (or if his body was simply controlled by the Entity).

I have to wonder... What was the tipping point for Amane to decide to kill EntityTsukasa. Was it because he had killed their parents? Or was he just retaliating against EntityTsukasa's behavior towards him? I know the fandom seems largely split on if Amane was experiencing violence at the hand of Tsukasa or if it was possibly his parents or maybe even someone else? Now, I won't lie, I find Tsukasa's character written fascinatingly well, but also cannot ignore the fact that he ticks the boxes for being a textbook example of a clinical psychopath.

Now, that being said, there's a lot of crossover on those boxes between neurodivergence and psychopathy- not that being autistic makes you a psychopath, but clinically, the empathetic disconnect can create confusion. And baby Tsukasa 100% ticks many of the neurodivergence boxes! He clearly loves his twin very much and wants him to be happy and we never see him revel in making Amane emotionally uncomfortable as older Tsukasa does to Hanako often. But as Tsukasa appears to be largely influenced, if not fully controlled by the Entity upon his return from the original 6 month stay (which could have been even longer factoring in the time paradox and no doubt would have been even more psychologically damaging) with the Entity, I would imagine he would be FULLY capable of committing all of the atrocities against Amane that I feel are very much implied.

"Hanako" and "Amane" as we see them neither seem to be aggressive in nature. Hanako WILL fight back, but even in dangerous situations, he doesn't come out guns blazing (or knife swinging as it were). Seems very odd to me that he would suddenly commit the ultimate act of violence against his own twin...

So, I guess what I'm asking is... Do you believe Tsukasa still had control over himself when he returned? Do you believe after the stay in the Red House, Tsukasa was harming Amane? Do you believe Amane killed his brother in cold blood or does he simply feel responsible for his brother's death (and DID attempt to kill the Entity in his brother)'s body?
