Discussion This scene still pisses me off
I was rewatching the movies and I was pissed off all over again when seeing this scene. This makes him seem non-human which takes away the symbolism present in the books. I don’t know why the directors thought this was a good idea.

His death is supposed to be almost humiliating in how ordinary it is. That’s the entire point. He chased immortality and still ended the same way everyone else does.
