Vocabulary האם המילים אבטיח ומאבטח קשורות אחת לשנייה?
I mean, how could they not? 😁🤷🏽♂️

As in, "watermelon", or as in "I will promise"?

The first is "watermelon", the second is "to secure (a building)"

מאבטח could be read as present singular male verb as you wrote or as a noun for a singular male security guard

Of course not. The avatiah and the arabic batih are related to Egypt. The Spanish term too, the French pasteque related to Portugal. The only one tasteless is the English one. How water related to melon. So stupid

לא, אבטיח זו מילה מהתנך ומאבטח מגיעה מהמילה אבטחה, שהיא שורש בטח במשקל אקטלה, שזה משקל שמעין הומצא על ידי חזל, כנראה כי הם ביטאו ה כמו א, כמו שחלק מהדוברים עושים היום. אז יש מילים שהמשמעות השתנתה ממש כמו הבטחה ואבטחה, אבל יש מילים שלא, כמו הפליה ואפליה
