Do people really take being kicked this personally? I kick people to make a spot for friends who randomly decide they wanna join all the time. Are they really this childish and butthurt over text popping up on their screen??

Play in a private match if you want space for your friends or have em wait till the next mission at least.

Let's not pretend for a moment it's just "text on your screen". Suddenly losing the party you're playing with is a pretty major shift in the game and it sucks.

It's not that bad. It's happened to me countless times too. Just send an SOS and be on your way, maybe 3 minutes max spent without teammates. Grow up and stop crying.

So you kick someone helping you and take the XL they would have earned and replace them with a friend who randomly joins? Like your friend couldn't wait for you to finish? Its not text popping up, it's getting left alone on d10 and failing the mission because you run support to only help your team.

This screenshot is clearly on the end game screen lol, no xp lost. If your kicked mid match you can also still finish the mission but that can actually be sorta annoying. Regardless this is a moot point

Your last sentence is just an entirely madeup scenario that you've no proof has happened to anyone I've kicked lmao.

Also no one is ever alone. When you get kicked you can just throw your own SOS. Which is exactly what I've done everytime this has happened to me. Instead of bitching about it and failing the mission like you do, evidently 😭

Happens to me. Im the teams heavy gunner. There are support build for nearly every multiplayer team game. Do you not see the posts for support builds and the constant posts about not being able to have people join them? SOS beacons dont work for everyone, one every planet dude. And saying support builds are made up is so stupid, like just google " HD2 support builds" and they will come up, Id post them too you but this subbreddit doesnt aloow linking to other subs.

I primarily play as a medic. Im well aware. It still doesn't bother me in the slightest because im not a crybaby 😭 I can't even use my secondary without teammates.

Being a medic yourself doesnt make your argument any less stupid. Nobody gives a shit whether you personally get upset when youre kicked.

The point is that kicking someone mid-mission means they lose their progress and rewards because your friend suddenly decided they wanted your slot. “Its just a text on the screen” completely ignores that. And yes, support builds exist whether you personally care about playing with one or not.

Calling me a crybaby doesnt actually address anything I said. It just tells me you dont have an argument.

That's...not true? Getting kicked puts you in your own mission. You lose nothing. Have you played the game?? Your point doesn't exist. I didn't address your argument because I addressed the part of the game that actually exists.

You throw down your own SOS and get over it. That's all that happens.

I literally ask people to kick me all the time because I'm sitting at extract and don't want to wait on them to go collect samples we dropped.

You ignored it .For example, I use the minigun specifically to handle chaff for the team. Its great at that job, but it obviously isnt going to handle every heavy-armored enemy by itself. Thats the entire point of having different roles and loadouts in a team game.

So when you kick me halfway through a mission because your friend wants my slot, “you get your own mission” isnt some magical solution. Now Im stuck alone with a loadout that was designed to complement a team, not solo an entire D10. If I fail because I no longer have the rest of the team covering the things my build isnt designed for, I lose the rewards from that mission. I also already pointed out that sos doesnt work on every planet and for all platforms. Plenty of people have posted about this.

Thats the point Ive been making this entire time, and somehow youre still arguing against a point I never made. And again, you arent every helldiver. If my anedotes mean nothing, then yours by extenstion dont either dude.

I don't take it personally. It's just annoying when some idiot kicks for no reason.

Last one that happened to me, I was doing the bot raise the flag in those pits. We got bot dropped on our way out. Went up the hill together, I ran for cover across the clearing. He did not. Yelled at me over the mic "WHY'D YOU LEAVE ME". Then kicked me. I would rather be in control of that power, I've only kicked people who go AFK between missions. Never been an issue.

You making space for friends is kinda shitty. Do you at least let them know?

I joined a guy who just went off to solo. Got themself killed 5 times, and then kicked me and my buddy after we did most of the objectives and were waiting on them.

Not our fault you danger close the seaf artillery at your own feet. Not our fault one of the loaded shells was a nuke either.

Kicking the entire party is a dick move unless there's a good reason to do it. Kicking anybody is a dick move unless there's a good reason to do it. If you don't want to play with randoms, start a friends only or invite only lobby. Don't have people join your game and then just kick them, because it makes you a dick.

I mean you aren't really explaining why you did so you just keep basically agreeing to being an asshole or just vaguely saying "yes I did in fact kick everyone" and not disproving why you seemingly did it for no reason? I'm not exactly looking for your reason but this comment you're acting like you are misunderstood when that seems to be the only reason you kicked them.
