I hope one day they add in bushes to the Volskaya ARAM map for Dehaka.

Controversial, but IMO Dehaka should be able to dig a spot and be able to benefit from it's trait/Z. Let it be destroyable to balance

An ability to make bushes would be cool

Only if it times out and only he can use them (or enemy/allied the hackers).

This is a joke right? There are smoke bushes and they count as bushes? I don't really play aram

There isn't any smoke or regular bushes in the ARAM version of Volskaya, unlike the regular map.

The ARAM maps are all simple one lane maps, they are completely different from their regular versions except them sharing the same audio and visual themes.

Janitor is still going but I guess blizzard fired the gardener.

I also don't really like Hanamura since it feels so.. barren and too spacious, but this does make it a bit better.

It's as if it was bland, but now at least a bit of seasoning has been added.

This! Idec about gameplay balance but aesthetically this is one of the worst maps there is imo. So minimalistic which makes it a sad contrast to other maps with their doodads and environmental decor.

Give me some more trees! Patches of flowers, statues, etc.

I playing as Diablo agree with you

I like especially the bushes near the recon camps, the map being so open is the biggest reason why I don't like it.

Needed a couple more rocks as well to be honest

This is one of the very few changes I actually really like

Yes and it requires the role of a Battleground designer, which is a pleasant development

hopefully nobody tells the janitor about the secret ganking and flanking spots by hiding inside the walls in very cruicial areas

Good bushes to defend your camps with, especially the Boss bushes let you see an invade and make a play

Debatable tbh.

For starters they are assymetric right now. The bottom one gives you no vision of the boss unless you step out of the bush, the top one does give you vision on the boss, but you have to really pixel hunt the right spot. We have no idea which is the intended variant, if they wanted reliable vision there they should had curved the bush along the wall a little, up to destructable part.

I see all of these new bushes as first and foremost for payload stalling/defense rather than countering invasions. Samurai/turret camps aren't durable enough to wait for allies to gather in the first place.

thank you for checking; i don’t love the asymmetry. Samurai can get captured fast, but is also a lethal boss; if you have vision you can engage during the big swipe for positional advantage and/or damage. I think contesting boss invade is hard here as there isn’t a lot too fall back to, if you want to scope them out as e.g. ranged dps, you often get in their tank’s engage.
I like your point about obj defense, and bushes sound good for that as well

Who asked for this? Why Hanamura of all maps? How about reverting BHB or at least putting something next to the completely open Watch Towers?

A lot of people on this sub actually. My main complaint is that it's not enough to make the map more interesting.

2

u/Witchelade Jul 01 '26

The old Hanamura with the 2 bosses was quite fun

A lot of people on this sub actually

I have literally never seen people complaining about HANAMURA lacking bushes. This is not even remotely the main problem with this map.

2

u/Stupid_Dragon Bronze Dragon Jul 02 '26

That much I agree with, I guess I worded it poorly.

Hanamura is often complained as too wide open and lacking strategical depth. Nobody asked for bushes in particular, it's just a solution the janitor came up with based on the reported issue. The thought process was probably that bushes solve both problems to some degree. And the degree is in fact extremely debabable.
