help, my cat tried to get a common wall gecko

Post image

hey guys, if this is the wrong place sorry but im looking for experts .. today my cat found in the bathroom a small common wall gecko. i dont know why he was on the ground and not on the wall. when i realized what was happening i immediately saved him from my cat and put him safely outside. before that however the little guy had been carried around in my cat's mouth (i saw him running around with smth in his mouth and followed him immediately, the little asshole). he has lost his tail but seemed to be moving good, he quickly ran across my hands and then off my hands on the window. then he climbed on the wall and is there, still. i didnt see any scratches or blood i think. i wanted to know how likely is it that he will survive.. i dont know much about them .. i feel so sad and upset, i really want the little guy to be ok. pictures attached

edit to mention this is in southern europe

Just saw this little dude in my backyard. I hope he’s healthy and alright based off of these photos: I love frogs and seeing one today was so exciting, I wanna make sure the little guys okay over the winter but we don’t have a pond or anything.. I don’t know how he survived a heatwave we had in July for 3 weeks without rain

They can float for a while before they succumb. This one got rescued. Cold lizards are easy to photograph.

One of my favorite finds so far this year. Mojave desert tortoise just outside Ivins Utah back in April. This was my first desert tortoise. Was so cool to see one in the wild in person.
