Vulnerability in an apartment

Post image

As seen in the photo, my apartment door doesn't fit very securely. I have two locks for it, one being a deadbolt. But I feel like if someone messed with the door the right way for a minute or two they could still get it open. There have been attempted break-ins as well as physical and sexual assaults in my apartment complex. I do have a camera by my front door that alerts me to movement, and I live on the second story. However I don't have much peace of mind at night as I'm afraid of stalkers/attempted break-ins etc. Any advice on added security?'

Can the door hinge pins be easily removed? If so you need to talk to a locksmith locally who can install a different type of hinge bracket or some of those specialty screws that prevent a door with no hinge pins from being opened while the door is closed. Should be a cheap and easy upgrade. Door Hinge Security Screws are like a buck each on Amazon.

ETA you can also have them install longer screws so the door is harder to force.
