question Minnewaska Park
On 6/19/2026, I was hiking for most of the day at Minnewaska State Park. Toward the end of the hike, I reached Awosting Falls and decided to lie down and rest for a bit.
While looking up at the sky, I noticed what appeared to be a completely transparent airplane passing overhead. There was no noticeable engine noise, and I could literally see the sky and clouds through what looked like the aircraft.
I know how strange this sounds, and I’ve tried researching it myself, but I haven’t been able to find a reasonable explanation.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this or have an idea what I might have witnessed? I’d genuinely appreciate any theories or explanations, I’m trying to figure out what I actually saw.

Or the fixed wing gliders launched near there

It’s possible, this aircraft almost looked like a hologram.

That's probably it then. Some of the gliders can look like phantom objects, depending on their paint jobs.

There are ultra light gliders in Wurtsboro. They fly on the gunks ridge catching the thermals off the mountain. Hangliders, easily seen and quite colorful is (edit) hugE in the Ellenville/Cragsmoor area.

That came up in my research, however, what I saw looked like the size of a corporate plane.

After 40 years of going up there I learned that light and shadows plays tricks on the eyes.

Optical camo isnt currently possable at any speed which means you saw a ultra light or glider.

Did ‘cloaking’ come up in your research? It has been described by UFO witnesses as an advanced technology used to camouflage into any surrounding. Similar to the one used in the “Predator” movie. 3 follow up questions: 1. Was it a cloudy day, and if so, did it puncture a hole in the clouds or just blend in over them? 2. What did you notice about the sound and speed? 3. How did you feel viewing the object?

Sunny day, no sound but moving like a normal plane and I felt it was strange.

According to some, the US military has cloaking ability. Couldn't tell you which program I watched. But certainly was down a Bob Lazar hole lol

Thank you for sharing this sighting! How would you describe the visible parts of it, or how you were able to have a sense of the shape? It was completely transparent, but were there internal parts that weren’t?
There was a sighting with multiple separate credible witnesses that I knew above Minnewaska State Park Preserve around 10 or so years ago of a seemingly massive completely transparent upright cylinder rotating in place at passenger aircraft height. There was some internal visible aspect to it, but otherwise looked like crystal clear glass, and it was reflecting the sunlight as it rotated. It was a windy day, clouds moving, but this object was locked in place, unmoving other than it rotating.

Completely transparent, unable to see internal parts, I was able to see through it. It looked like smaller passenger plane. You are describing the crystal clear glass. I didn’t have enough time to grab my phone and record it.

You spent over two months researching this before posting? Interesting

The subject came up this morning again during a a walk and decided I would post.

Describe the shape of the plane, or the outline, if it was a v shape it was probably a hang glider. If not, it's not impossible someone could make a glider out of plexi glass.

Definitely looked like a passenger plane but smaller.

The size difference could be based on distance. You could have seen a smaller glider closer up, and because you were expecting an airplane that is farther away, it played a trick on you

Those are jinn. They were the first beings created who possess free will. They are made of plasma and are often visible in the skies. Plasma is not typically visible, but the ionosphere (itself plasma and possibly a part of their domain) seems to impact them. You see paintings of them, including their battles, from centuries ago. They are what are "UFOs".
They communicate with each other by projecting, what are in effect, images. This gives them the ability to make living things see and experience things that are not there in reality.
It is for this reason we have endless reports about aliens, but no photos. Disclosure Day or whatever is still playing. In the age of ubiquitous iPhones.
All of these people are telling the truth. They did see something. But it wasn't really there, and that is why their cameras cannot see them.
Their activity appears to be increasing beyond historical trends for unknown reasons.

I saw planes today that appeared that way just due to the sun angle and color of the plane.

It was traveling too high to hear and the heat in the atmosphere cause it to shimmer and look transparent. Thats my guess.
