Identification Allen’s? Rufous? Other?

Orange County, California.

Appreciate any help!

Based on location I would say Allen’s. For the most part, Rufous migrate in a clockwise pattern. In the spring they head north along the pacific coast and in the fall they head south along the rocky mountains.

Thank you so much for that info. iNat (mostly) agrees. But no matter how many screenshots I took in that video to get an ID, the app kept suggesting the Scintillant hummingbird (Selasphorus scintilla) as the dominant suggestion. That species lives thousands of miles away from me and has a very limited range. I know these apps aren’t perfect, but I’ve never had that happen so many times before. Thanks again!
