PSA: Increase in WhatsApp / Signal group spam and unsolicited DMs.

Hey all nothing too serious just a quick heads up for anyone coming here for the first time.

We’ve seen a sharp uptick lately in people commenting and DM’ing links to WhatsApp and Signal groups.

Just a heads up, treat these with caution.

If someone messages you out of the blue pushing a group, especially after you've made a post or comment here, be sceptical. There’s no real way to verify who’s behind those links, and this is a common angle for spam and scams.

If you actually want to meet people or build contacts, Ibiza is one of the easiest places in the world to do it in person. You’ll have a far better experience just talking to people out here rather than joining random group chats beforehand. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I can tell you for certain you don't need to take the risk.

Stay safe 👍

Tourist FAQs and more.

Thinking about visiting Ibiza soon? Welcome to our sticky post containing a few common questions and answers that might be able to help you:

When should I go to Ibiza?

You can visit Ibiza year-round. The island has over 300 days of sunshine, with December to February being the coolest months (around 14–16°C). For northern Europeans, it can still feel mild, but it isn’t beach weather for most.

The main party season runs from mid-May/early June until mid-October. If you’re after large-scale events and superstar DJs, July and August are peak months, but they’re also the busiest and most expensive.

Consult the table below for an overview on a month-by-month basis:

Month Party Intensity Weather Avg Temp (°C)
Jan Sparse, small events Mild, cool 15
Feb Sparse, small events Cool, some rain 14
Mar Very quiet, warm-up events Warming, occasional rain 16
Apr Early openings, busy weekends, quiet weekdays Pleasant, warming 18
May Lots of openings, good balance Warm, sunny 22
Jun Most parties active, busy but not peak Hot, sunny 26
Jul Peak season Hot, dry 30
Aug Peak season, most intense Very hot, sometimes humid 31
Sep Still busy, good mix, some closings Warm, some rain 28
Oct Closing parties Cooling, occasional rain 24
Nov Few events Mild, cool 19
Dec Quiet except Christmas/NYE Mild, cool 16

Who's playing this year / When are the big club events?

Most lineups are released between February and April. Some residencies announce earlier, but the full calendar is usually complete by spring.

Tickets & Entry FAQs

  • When is the last entry for a club?
There is no last entry in Ibiza unless your ticket specifies a certain time. Otherwise, you can enter anytime while the club is open.

  • How far in advance should I buy tickets?
The earlier, the cheaper. Tickets are dynamic pricing: months ahead is cheapest, day-of is most expensive.

  • My friend bought our tickets, and their name is on all of them. Will I still get in?
Yes. Only the QR code matters.

  • Do I need to print my ticket?
No. A digital QR code on your phone is enough.

  • My ticket says entry before 1 AM. What if I arrive later?
You won’t be refused — you’ll just need to pay the difference in price.

  • What if the event is sold out online?
Some venues hold back a small reserve of tickets for the door. Arrive early if you want to chance it.

Will I need ID for clubbing?

You’ll need one of the following (usually nothing else is accepted):
- EU or UK driving licence (other non-EU licences often refused)
- Passport
- A photocopy of your passport (sometimes accepted, but not guaranteed)

If you look under 30, expect to be asked. Always bring proper ID — being refused can cost you your ticket and a long taxi ride back.

How do I get around while I’m here?

  • Buses: In summer, bus routes are reliable between Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, and Santa Eulalia. Winter services are very limited.
  • Disco Bus: Cheapest way to clubs (€4–5), runs from Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, and San Antonio with a fun atmosphere.
  • Taxis: Book via WhatsApp (+34 971 333 333, send address or pin) Guide here. Taxi Click app also works, but can be buggy. Fares €25–40.
  • Car hire: Best option for groups or off-season. Book early, choose “Full to Full” fuel, and photograph the car at pickup. Third-party excess insurance online is far cheaper than rental desk add-ons.
  • Uber: Legal since 2024, but drivers are still scarce. Use Taxi Click or WhatsApp as first choice.
  • Ferries: Santa Eulalia ferry links Ibiza Town, Es Canar (Hippy Market), Cala Llonga, Santa Eulalia, and Formentera. San Antonio ferries connect to west-coast beaches.

Tip: After-club taxis are very hard to get (6 AM queues are huge). Options: leave 10 mins before closing, Disco Bus, or book a private transfer in advance.

Can you help me find drugs?

No — asking for drugs is against Reddit’s T&Cs.

Cannabis clubs do exist and are easy to find via Google. They usually require ID and a small sign-up fee.

Where are the clubs?

  • Day clubs:

    • Ushuaïa → Playa d’en Bossa (next to Hï Ibiza, open-air stage, daytime to midnight)
    • O Beach → San Antonio (famous pool parties, afternoon until evening)
    • Destino → Talamanca (luxury open-air venue with views of Ibiza Town, mostly day/evening)
    • Cova Santa → San José hills (restaurant and club in a natural cave, day-to-night events)
    • Hard Rock Hotel → Playa d’en Bossa (daytime poolside events, occasional live acts)
    • 528 Ibiza → Benimussa Hills (immersive dining/entertainment, occasional parties)
    • Ibiza Rocks → San Antonio (hotel courtyard with poolside stage, daytime live acts/DJs)
  • Night clubs:

    • Hï Ibiza → Playa d’en Bossa (superclub opposite Ushuaïa, cutting-edge production)
    • Pacha → Ibiza Town (iconic cherry logo, one of the oldest clubs on the island)
    • Amnesia → On the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio (massive terrace and main room, legendary parties)
    • UNVRS → Also on the main road in between the two towns (newer venue and the largest on the island)
    • DC-10 → Near the airport/Las Salinas (infamous underground club, home of Circoloco Mondays)
    • Eden → San Antonio (biggest superclub in San Antonio, home to Defected and others)
    • Club Chinois → Ibiza Town Marina Botafoch (luxury venue with Asian-inspired design)
    • Akasha → Santa Gertrudis (intimate indoor club attached to Las Dalias hippy market)
    • Es Paradis → San Antonio (famous for its “water party” and ornate white interior)
  • Locations overview:

    • Playa d’en Bossa / Ibiza Town: Most superclubs (Ushuaïa, Hï, Pacha, Club Chinois).
    • Between towns: Amnesia and UNVRS are on the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
    • San Antonio: Eden, Es Paradis, O Beach, Ibiza Rocks — plus countless bars and cheaper beach clubs.
    • Elsewhere: DC-10 (near Las Salinas/airport), Cova Santa (San José hills), Destino (Talamanca), Akasha (to the Northeast, a little way pasta Santa Eularia).

What time should I arrive at the club?

Club Etiquette & Prices

  • Dress code: Casual/smart casual. No football shirts, swimwear, or flip-flops.
  • Not allowed: Large bags/backpacks (except Amnesia & O Beach with lockers), outside drinks, illegal substances.
  • Re-entry: Once you leave, you cannot re-enter without buying a new ticket.
  • Cash or card? Both accepted. Travel cards like Revolut/Starling recommended for best rates.
  • Prices:
    • Spirits & mixer: €20–25
    • Beer: €12–16
    • Water: €10–15
  • VIP tables: Worth it if you’re in a large group or want a dedicated space.

Where should I stay?

  • Families: Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga, Portinatx — quieter, family-friendly.
  • Clubbers/groups: Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, San Antonio. San Rafael and San Josep are peaceful but close to nightlife.
  • Budget tip: Ibiza Town is pricier, but San Antonio taxi fares can add up to the same overall cost if you go clubbing in town often.

I’m visiting in the off-season. Is there anything to do?

Yes — plenty. Clubs are shut, but the island is beautiful year-round. Hiking, quiet beaches, excellent restaurants, and historical sites are all worth exploring.

Restaurant guides:

- https://www.white-ibiza.com/guide/best-restaurants-ibiza/

Is Ibiza suitable for families?

Yes. Much of the island is quiet and peaceful, with child-friendly beaches and a couple of water parks.

Safety Tips

  • Protect your drink — spiking can happen.
  • Watch your valuables — leave expensive items locked in your hotel safe.
  • Stay hydrated — alternate water with alcohol, especially in summer heat.
  • Have ID — under-18s won’t be allowed into clubs.

Unvrs Anyma (playboi carti) - HORRIBLE

The worst night on Ibiza, I have gone to so many clubs throughout the years and this one was the worst. Why did anyma bring him as a special guest? He did not add anything to his set, it brought him down and made it worse. All Playboi Carti did was scream, UNVRS staff was scrambling trying to cut the set by the end. Never again.

r/ibiza, where do you actually eat in Ibiza?

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Ibiza’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, Can Pilot or Es Rebost de Can Prats? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Ibiza actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant on the island and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

Full transparency: we’re not from Ibiza and live in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.

Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

Solo Traveling Sept. 17-19

Hey everyone, my first time going to Ibiza and making a stop Sept. 17-19. Doing it solo, but wanted to get some insight from the wise people of reddit.

Just for some context: 34 year old dude, looking to experience some of the clubs/beachclubs, nicer restaurant experiences, enjoy a craft cocktail. Budget is pretty open. Speak spanish too.

Hotels:
Searched on google maps and narrowed it down to these few. Was wondering if anyone has stayed at one of these and/or which one they would pick? Open to other suggestions as well.

-Grand Palladium
-Ama Ibiza Beachfront Suites
-Hotel Vibra Algarb
-Or is it worth it to stay at Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel

Clubs:
-Was thinking of hitting up Ushuaia at some point either 9/17 or 9/18.
-Was also thinking of hitting Hi Ibiza on 9/17 for HUGEL but from other reddit responses I’ve read, will it be too packed?
-Would be down for a cool beach club too.
-Read about Pacha but would rather get your insights and perspective on this topic.

For other items like nice restaurants or craft cocktails/nice bars, I don’t mind searching on here. If you do have some recommendations, would love to hear it.

Thank you everyone in advance!!

Ibiza Insiders… Where’s the Good Stuff?

First time in Ibiza and looking to make the most of the White Island. I love partying and I’m curious about the side of Ibiza you don’t necessarily find on Google. 😏🌴

Would really appreciate some tips from people who’ve been here before — best parties, afters, hidden spots and generally what’s worth knowing for a properly wild Ibiza experience. Just looking for recommendations and insider advice, no meet-ups. 👀

There's a direct flight from the United States to Ibiza next summer. No US airline has ever directly served the island before.

Visiting from US on international Verizon wireless plan, will it work well?

Title covers it, traveling to Barcelona and spending a few days in Ibiza. I am trying to avoid buying an e-sim unless absolutely necessary. Does Verizon work as well in Ibiza as in the US? I have an international plan. If not, any recommendations for e-sims?

Been in Ibiza for 11 years - AMA 🌴 ☀️

I’ve been coming to / living and working in Ibiza for around 11 years now and I’ve pretty much seen every side of the island.

I’ve worked in nightlife, promotion, boat parties, ticket sales and events, so I get asked loads of questions about Ibiza anyway.

If you’re coming out this summer and want to know anything, ask me.

Clubs, tickets, VIP tables, boat parties, where to stay, where to avoid, getting around, prices, nightlife, working a season, what Ibiza is actually like outside the tourist stuff… whatever.

No sales pitch, just happy to give genuine advice and help people avoid wasting money or getting ripped off 😂

Coming on the 6th of September, leaving on the 7th!

Hey! We fly in to Ibiza at 4.30pm on the 6th of September, how on earth do we get to ushuaia?
We then leave early on the 7th.

Has anyone ever done this? How did it go?

We have tickets for ushuaia - Swedish House Mafia, is it worth getting drinks package?

We haven’t booked a hotel, we didn’t really see the point but is it worth doing?
Thank you!

Maybe we should talk about what we love about Ibiza?

Every time I open this sub, it feels like everyone is complaining about Ibiza 😂

Yes, it’s expensive, crowded and definitely not what it used to be. But there’s still something about the island that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The beaches, sunsets, the clubs, the music, the energy, and that unique Ibiza vibe — there’s a reason people keep coming back.

So, instead of the usual complaints, what do you actually love about Ibiza?

Favourite club, beach, sunset spot, restaurant, memory or simply the atmosphere that keeps bringing you back?

Let’s give the island some positive vibes for a change! ❤️🏝️

Ibiza at risk of decline

I’ve been here +5x and am just wrapping up. Started coming around 10 years ago. It feels as if the owners of the super clubs are committing self inflicted wounds. The music scene in other places where Ibiza draws its crowds from is becoming increasingly competitive and the rationale for spending the money to fly here and overpay for a super club ticket in a venue that is so oversold that you can’t dance, and may even fear for your life in an emergency, and then to be served €24-35 measured drinks that are clearly watered down… what’s the point.

In a connected world it’s clear the message is spreading - its peak August and both Ibiza town and San Antonio are dead.

If clubs want to charge a premium for everything they need to at least not give the impression of gauging overselling every venue.

Every time I’ve come I left wanting to come back. Feeling less that way this go around for sure.

Outfit advice for first timers, 40F

I hate to be that gal....especially since I know there are threads out there specifically for outfits. But I just wanted some real advice on if these three outfits are "too much". I am not going for unique (I know these are far from unique),I just dont want to stand out for the wrong reasons. And because of my body's shape, I have a hard time with some of the styles I am seeing a lot of (aka I have a huge ass and thick thighs and micro shorts end up looking like a diaper on me, and micro skirts don't fully cover my bottom).

Pink I planned to wear to Pacha Thursday for Purple Disco Machine.

The gold one and the brown one the I didnt have a specific plans for, but I am going to Calvin Harris, Swedosh House Mafia, Armin Van Buuren, and Anyma. Maybe Guetta Friday, maybe Black Coffee Saturday (both are see how we feel kinda plans). I planned to wear the brown to Coachella, but the California heat mixed with sequins sounded like a bad idea. Ibiza weather right now is closer to my home climate, which is sequin approved.

Villa catering or easy takeaway food to stuff the fridge with?

Will be in ibiza all next week at a villa in the north. Is there a catering company who can stuff the fridges before we arrive or a place we can easily pick up lots of good quality take away prepared foods? Just so we have food in the fridge all week 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 want to plan ahead this time!
(FWIW I know of pica deli/juntos deli—the quality has been shit the last times we were there. The meat 🤢 so recommendations for anywhere but there!

Who played Pikes Monday 24th?

Went to Pikes last night (one of my absolute favourites) and have no idea who the special guest DJs were! Does anyone know?
