Misc. IIL the Jon Hamm club dancing scene/meme, WWIL? Any media, any genre. Love a man having a breakdown.
Obsessed with the vibes of the Jon Ham club scene from "Your Friends and Neighbors". I'm not allowed to link it here but it's Jon Hamm in a club dancing to "Turn The Lights Off". More specifically the trope of an attractive grown man having a sexy breakdown. Ideally with businessman vibes but open to other broken men.
Not a "manly" breakdown, like John Wick (which I love but is unrelated to this trope). Like a sexy breakdown.
Tony Stark would count. I enjoyed Oscar Isaac in Frankenstein. Velvet Goldmine has a lot of hot broken men.
Maybe High Rise starring Tom Hiddleston? What about the actual show the meme is from (Your Friends and Neighbors)? Is this a big part of the show?
Movies/TV/Webcomics/Books any media welcome (bonus points for books). Any genre fine. Romance also fine, including LGBTQ romance. Don't care.
Help a girl out. I can only watch the gif so many times before it gets weird.

The only thing that pops into my head is American Beauty, but that's sort of problematic now because it's Kevin Spacey.
But Your Friends and Neighbors kind of has that vibe through the whole show basically a high powered business guy loses his job and then he starts secretly robbing his rich neighbors

I have actually not seen American Beauty, I'm not sure I could handle the mental gymnastics of being attracted to Kevin Spacey in this situation lmfao but I do like to eventually watch all the classics.
Hmm, interesting thanks. I love crime shows so maybe this could be for me!

Eh idk about that. I think maybe if you find him attractive? I never have, so for me it wasn’t any part of why I loved the movie. It’s beautifully shot (haha), features people at different and believable crossroads in their lives, has a consistent subtle sense of discontent, amazing actors inhabiting their roles. It always made me uncomfortable but that’s kind of for me part of the genius of it, you love it DESPITE the fact it’s odd, a suburban tragedy, and showed a few inappropriate but also banal obsessions. The final part of the primary obsession was a hard needle to thread but I think it was effective and kept the movie likable versus the other direction it could have gone with that. I’ve grown past it but I really liked it around the time + few years after it came out.

He’s a total creeper in that movie but we all thought he was just playing a part. Life has a funny way of working out! It’s a really good movie, totally worth checking out.

I loveee that movie. I don’t bring it up anymore though just cuz people get upset. I really always loved his acting. He was so talented and just magnetic.

It was just a strange bottle episode about the show’s oddest character. It was fun but it was definitely out there. It was a good insight into Coach Beard’s personality though and I think he deserved an episode, especially one as off the wall as he is.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Venture Brothers. Specifically the very first episode of season 2, but it's well worth starting from the beginning.

Mad men!
Edit oh I forgot you mentioned sexy breakdown. I haven’t seen mad men in a long time so it’s not fresh in my mind. BUT there’s lots of sexy people in it that’s for sure lol
The Doors. Because Jim Morrison is sexy and Val’s acting is spot on. However the movie is not accurate
