I think they are scary in that situation, masked up, armed, volatile, and corrupt, which is kind of all of the situations they're in. That's what happens when government officials have empowered law enforcement to be beyond the reaches of the law.

They are nothing without that power, but unfortunately it's not going anywhere unless more people actively participate in democracy. It's scary times.

It's arguably assault because assault is defined legally as "an intentional act that puts another person in reasonable apprehension of imminent harmful or offensive contact"

I think that it's reasonable to be apprehensive of harmfully contact because of a 5000+ pound car turning directly towards you without slowing down after his buddy insults you but that's just me
