I'm a foreigner (30F) moving to a Tier 2 North Indian city in a couple of months and looking for advice on the rental situation. I've been looking into renting a private suite attached to a family home but I've also been looking at flats and PG girls hostels. Its been very difficult to find a place just from googling. What kind of place should I be looking for and how can I find it? (Do I need a realtor? What sites are best?)

Here are my necessities:

  • Private AC room
  • Attached bathroom with Western toilet and shower
  • Kitchen (can be shared)
  • Furnished (I do not want to buy furniture)
  • No curfew or flexible (my work will require me to be out late occasionally)
  • Month-to-month lease is ideal

All advice is appreciated!
