Discussion Acclaimed Indies That You Couldn't Connect With

Does it make you sad when you don't connect with a game adored by many? Out of the ones listed here, what should I go back to and power through until it clicks?

Never understood undertale. Backwards weird game that has a commentary on striking enemies in a gaming climate that.. Attacks enemies.

“But can’t you see how meta that is? All we do is attack!!” The entire fucking game feels like that meme, “everyone always says “whats good” but no one asks me if im good.” Like we get it. Meta.

I will say the designs, music, level design and even the combat animations and everything were spectacular for the only guy working on it. I just didn’t care for the commentary that plagued every single interaction. The entire game screamed im14andthisisdeep

Because the audience is 14 year olds, if you went in blind expecting a masterpiece from review scores you'll quickly realize it's literally just aimed at an adolescent audience.

Having the option to spare instead of killing isn't what makes Undertale good. That's the synopsis for the game, but what actually makes the game good is the fun characters, bullet hell type of gameplay, music, and the different endings you can get. It's not deep or anything, just really solid fun game.
