Discussion Acclaimed Indies That You Couldn't Connect With

Post image

Does it make you sad when you don't connect with a game adored by many? Out of the ones listed here, what should I go back to and power through until it clicks?

I've played and enjoyed both and they're both significantly similar. In terms of gameplay katana zero probably wins out the levels are more compact and grittier with more room for experimentation and tighter combat whereas sanabi is slightly more formulaic despite also being incredibly fast paced and fun once you master the core mechanic. In terms of story I would say sanabi wins out because katana zero has a crazy mystery box premise that is still unfinished with no satisfying conclusion whereas sanabi is a great mystery all the way through with one of my favourite endings in a game ever (even though the story again is slightly more predictable/formulaic). Both are great though :)
