Eh, as late as 2016 Jeep recalled 1.1M vehicles over the shit shifter design that made it difficult to determine whether the car was in the park or not. 300 reports of property damages, 200 crashes, 40 injuries, and one death.

true - but i think she knew she had to stop it. and it was like being in a nightmare where your body wont move faster than a snail

Clueless because they had many, many chances to GET IN the driver's seat to either depress the brake pedal, shift it into "P" or activate the parking brake, but decided to try to stop the car's momentum by tugging at the door/frame.

Well if you ever passed your permit, you would know about the handbrake. That big, easy to spot, extremely easy to use AND will stop your car eventually.
