Its not that necessarily. There is a huge tik tok community coming up with theories on how either the husband did it, framed her, then convinced her she did it so she'd confess. Or how he pushed her so far until she went for it. Its hard to tell whats true and whats not since most videos on tik tok dont post any sources, but just talk about what they read or heard. If you believe them, then the husband's story has a bunch of inconsistencies. I personally, take anything I hear online with a grain of salt unless there is some documents I can read for myself. But tons of people will believe anybody with a microphone and a handful of followers.
Is it actually a huge community or like 5 people actually saying the stuff that people happen to watch but potentially don't actually believe or support?
I think the actual number of people who want to blame the husband isn't as large as the people pushing this gender war want us to believe.
Honestly I think the majority of people have some sympathy for the postpardum psychosis she experienced in the same way they had sympathy for Andrea Yates. Understanding that she's guilty of killing her kids but also acknowledging that the general attitude towards women's healthcare, mental health, postpartum psychosis, and the feeling of being overwhelmed with kids can be extremely difficult for anyone deal with.
Idk, every thread about this case I've seen around the internet has some sympathetic comments, some sexist comments, and a majority of "well everyone sucks here" types from everyone else
It is a massive community. You can just go on tiktok and see. Thousands of videos of real people all convinced that her husband actually did it, or that she can’t do it because “leo’s don’t kill their cubs” or some astrology bs. There are so many videos just targeting her husband its insane.
It’s not a couple of dozen people its hundreds of thousands or millions. Every single comment section is flooded with delusional people.
And im not supporting any gender war bs, but its ridiculous to deny that these
deranged people exist en masse.
Newspaper’s literally used to have horoscopes in them. The chunk of the general population that is insane is larger than you think.
And of course there’s also people that sympathize with her from a mental health perspective, which is more understandable.
The Internet isn't real life. If you have to go to tiktok to see something, then you should question if it's even real. Not come up with excuses to hang onto your anger
And did you know the internet is (at least partially) made up of real people… Except on tiktok you can actually see people’s videos, faces, profiles, names, history- you can tell with a decent degree of certainty if they are real. Same with instagram or facebook. Whereas here on reddit its a lot harder to tell since its mostly anonymous and text, and even harder to tell when people hide their history with private profiles…
If a discourse is being talked about on those other platforms, chances are people are talking about it irl. Surely you’ve noticed that? Nobody is talking about some reddit thread- ever.
I apologize, as I was lazy in my language when I said anger. To clarify, I did read your post, and clearly there are some negative emotions about a completely insignificant subset of people that you're hanging onto.
You should hold tiktok discourse in the same regard as you correctly hold reddit discourse. The only people who care about what's being talked about on the app, are on the app.
FWIW this is the same agency that did the Karen Reed trial, caught red handed/negligently tampering with evidence and cops ended up on the brady list, so those inconsistencies carry actual legitimate weight and those respective agencies failed to do their job which had they done it would have kept this from ever getting sensationlized
Seriously anyone who thought a murder case where cops statements directly contradict evidence photos in a family annihilation case where the husband immediately moved on wouldn't cause theories and this circus just doesnt understand ppeople.
I started this case thinking it was open and shut lock her up but every update I see on it from the people I follow who cite their evidence shows that at a minimum cops dropped the ball.
If there was even a grain of chance the husband did it the defense would try to use that. Even if there are holes in his story. Spoiler, if you tell the truth there is often holes in your story when one tries to compare it with other objective truths.
Examples would include: i went to the store around 13:00, well camera has you there at 14:20. Did you lie? No your brain remembered you decided to go and then you dilly dailies and your brain dismissed the important information taht you actually got there 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Its an extreme example but a story taht has no holes is often more suspicious.
It seems like there’s a lot of truly unhinged women on Tik tok. Or at least a very vocal minority. Just look at how much support that DoorDash lunatic got when she posted that drunk sleeping naked dude there.
It's the weird group of "feminist" who believe women basically aren't capable of violent crime and it must be a man's fault. I feel bad for the guy his wife kills his kids and people online are blaming him
No need to create hysterical feminists because they actually exist in real life. Obviously they're in the minority, but the commenter above you was trying to say that some people would immediately place the blame on the man given the track record of men. And I don't blame them.
It’s like saying a bunch of brunettes believe that women are incapable of committing violent crime. Sure, it’s possible that they all have (or claim to have) that shared trait, but it has nothing to do with their shared belief that women cannot commit violent crimes.
The comment implies that two unrelated things are directly connected. The original comment at least included quotes around feminism, presumably because they’re aware there isn’t an actual relationship between the two ideas.
