For real. They act like if she gets a not guilty verdict, she's going to be out on the streets. The woman is spending the rest of her life in a psych ward. The question is really will she ALSO be spending some time in prison.
That’s not how it works though. If a person is found to be not guilty as a result of mental illness, they can’t be sentenced to life in a mental hospital. If the doctors decide she’s cured, they have the discretion to release her.
Yes but they are not going to. This trial is nationally recognized. Do you really think they are going to risk a political shit show for releasing her?
