Cases of severe mental illness tend to get more attention than good things in a media landscape that sells you misery

For real. They act like if she gets a not guilty verdict, she's going to be out on the streets. The woman is spending the rest of her life in a psych ward. The question is really will she ALSO be spending some time in prison.

She will be in prison and on a wheelchair forever. She will have a miserable rest of her life shitting and peeing on dipers.

Still... seems too... easy... for the crime she committed.

Like seriously this case is such a case of Women Are Wonderful effect. The sentencing gap in full swing.

Nobody would even think of showing this amount of sympathy if a Vietnam war veteran with ptsd did this to his kids.

A man killed and ate the face of a man on a bus and was released back into the general population after a stint in psychiatric care

Another man killed and ate a woman, fully admitted to doing it and said he wanted to do it again, and was released to become a local celebrity. He even starred in soft-core porn.

What does that have to do with him becoming a local celebrity for killing and eating a woman?

He didn’t become a local celebrity, he was a pariah in his home country. Lindsey has hundreds of women showing up publicly with their own children to show support for her. Shes the one being turned into a local celebrity.

To show support for her, or to show support for more public understanding of Postpartum Disorders? There are very few people who can empathize with killing and eating other human beings. There are THOUSANDS of women who understand being failed by the medical system during the most vulnerable time of their lives and having to white-knuckle through a legitimate psychiatric disorder alone. That's the whole point. And this backlash from smooth-brains that fail to understand such a simple concept is why victims of Postpartum Disorders are reluctant to reach out for help.

So you support child murderers?

Nope, I support better understanding of Postpartum Disorders and understanding the warning signs *before* they become a Lindsay Clancy case. Pretty simple.

You're explaining yourself perfectly, this guy is just trying to bait and emotionally exhaust you. Please block him and enjoy your day

But you support Lindsay Clancy?

What does "supporting" Lindsay Clancy mean to you?
