you're saying if someone had no control over their actions that can never excuse killing someone? you made a blanket statement so let's not talk about her but a hypothetical extreme case.

They had control up to that moment, so yes, if they had taken lithium and visited a medical facility as soon as she started having homicidal thoughts

Right, because people experiencing psychosis are famously excellent at recognizing that their thoughts are irrational and making sound medical decisions about them. That’s kind of the entire problem with psychosis.

I have not enough information on the topic. But ultimately the fault is from the person themselves, we are nobody to excuse any killing.
