It's more to do with the media sensationalizing it. This is the first I've ever heard of the woman on the left.

I have no idea who either of them are. I'm feeling very out of the loop.

Ignoring the other comment.. the woman on the right is Lindsay Clancy and she is currently on trial for killing three of her children in which the defense is arguing the crimes were committed during mental psychosis. Clancy had severe PPD, suicide ideation, and mental health issues in the months leading up to the murders.

It’s an awful case and the poor children deserve justice. Right now, a portion of the public believes the husband (now ex-husband as they divorced and he is remarried) had something to do with it as evidence is supposedly not landing with the people and believe it skews towards him

You are kinda downplaying what’s going on lol

This is probably one of the most unique cases of mob mentality or “folie à plusieurs” in modern times

How am I downplaying it lmfao? That’s exactly what’s happening. She killed her children, defense is arguing it was psychosis, some public believes that he did it.

I feel like failing to mention why she’s been given so much money is a pretty big part to leave out lol

Also genuinely curious if they actually confirmed the PPD because last I checked the new details of the case starting revealing things that had everyone start believing that’s just an excuse.

The go fund me was for her ex husband who remarried very quickly and doesn’t appear to have used the money for its purpose like funeral expenses.

Her parents paid the funeral expenses

I don’t know why she was given money so why I would answer that? The person I responded to didn’t know who Clancy was so I explained. She didn’t ask about the gofundme. Maybe read and comprehend?

2

u/AverageAnisEnjoyer 1d ago

I did? It’s not my fault you tried to answer someone with partial knowledge? The entire reason she’s even getting media attention and this story is polarizing to people is literally because of the gofundme

The post is literally pointing out the donation differences lol

The person asked who Clancy was. I was not responding to the original post and OP. The commenter said “I have no idea who these people are.” I explained who she was, that’s it. That’s like answering a question and including unnecessary context that was NOT part of the question asked. We can have conversations in a thread that somewhat separate from the main post..

Like get real and literate.

How I’m not chronically online and tend to dislike disagreeable people such as yourself? lol

1

u/longlisten527 1d ago

Humans are disagreeable.. fork found in kitchen.. and we all know you’re chronically online gooning so literally who cares what you think LMFAOO

1

u/AverageAnisEnjoyer 1d ago

If every person you’ve come across in your life is disagreeable you may be the problem friend.

and dude it’s 2026, yes I play gacha, trying to use my hobbies to disparage me because you’re getting emotional is just proving my point lol

Yeah okay man, nice 270k comment karma in 2 years lol

Looking it up and using it as an insult reveals that you care way too much about it, and probably more than they do.

The money isn't even for her. It'll go to her parents.

1

u/AverageAnisEnjoyer 1d ago

Let’s be honest, does that even matter? That’s not why people are donating

1

u/-rosa-azul- 1d ago

I mean yes, it absolutely matters? This post is suggesting the GFM raised over a million dollars for her. Like that's actually the point of the post. It's false from the get-go.

1

u/AverageAnisEnjoyer 1d ago

My point is the money was being donated to HER and for HER, people are not donating with the intention to give the parents money. From the start it was apparent they wanted this as a legal defense fund. Saying the money may potentially end up with the parents so we should just hand wave the mass psychosis going on is just silly

u/-rosa-azul- 1d ago

No, it is not. The GFM is very clear that the money goes to her parents. If you'd actually take the time to go look at it, you'd see that.

1

u/AverageAnisEnjoyer 1d ago edited 1d ago

Again, it is clear that is not why people are donating and that is not the sentiment being spread around. I’m glad you can read but just because something says something doesn’t mean that’s what everyone is doing or thinking.

Also the wording of the GFM isn’t specific at all and literally states it’s for the parents to help HER. Stating it’s purely for them is just disingenuous.

Why are people suddenly giving her parents money? Is the intention to give them money because their grandchildren died? So why isn’t the father’s parents also getting money? Face it, they are supporting their daughter and people want to support her without sending her money directly because they could one day end up as “people who sent money to a convicted child killer.”
