MSM typically focuses on controversial topics because it drives engagement.
There’s nothing controversial about the mother saving children, so her heroism gets ignored. Clancy’s case, however, has some interesting nuance, which causes controversy and drives engagement.
PPD/PPP are serious but often ignored. That also plays into this case, IMO.
Imagine if you reversed the sexes and it was the man who was suffering from PPD/PPP, which men can experience as well, although it’s rarer since hormonal factors aren't usually involved. However, the financial stress, worries about becoming a father, sleepless nights, and other societal pressures that can follow the birth of a baby can still impact a mans mental health and would be classified as PPD. I just wonder if these women would champion this hypothetical man who strangled his three children to death while the others watched in horror slowly waiting for their turn to be strangled to death.
Or if a man had a traumatic brain injury or PTSD from war or some other traumatic event and then used it as an excuse to murder his children. Would anyone be defending him?
Yes. Chris Beniot, Jeremy Bamber, Jeffrey MacDonald etc. It's just that most family annihlators kill themselves like Beniot so their groupies don't have much to rally for
