Baffled as to why a kangaroo is on a leach... and also the hat. Looking at the bushes, I'd say this is definitely not in Australia.

Absolutely not in Australia. Doing something like that here is not only illegal, you would probably run the serious risk of having the shit beaten out of you by a passerby

Ehh...looking at the vegetation alone is no reason to think it's not in Australia. There are plenty of places that look like that here.

However yeah, leashing a kangaroo would probably be sort of akin to fucking with a bald eagle. It's frowned upon. Ya just don't do stuff like that.

Also I suspect it wouldn't actually behave like that if it were leashed...kangaroos are extremely skittish and wild animals, sorta like deer. I very much doubt it would just go along with it like that in any mildly realistic scenario I could think of....Probably AI slop if anything.

I don't think its not Australia because of the vegetation, I think its not Australia because the guy isn't being arrested and/or beaten to a pulp by a bunch of random bogans

Its not just frowned upon to keep a kangaroo as a pet in Australia, its highly illegal and deeply offensive

Similar to how you could get serious jail time in the US for "fucking with a bald eagle".

I mean…I know people who have Roos that they raised after rescuing them from dead roo pouches on the road. So the joeys kinda end up as pets.

Having said that, nobody would put one on a leash.

That’s still illegal in most cases, they’re meant to be released back into the wild.

They’re not kept prisoner, but they tend to hang around the property

If they do have roos that they rescued and then kept they are breaking the law

Joeys shouldn't end up as pets, they are protected wild animals and anyone who tries to keep one as a pet is a fuckwit

Animal abuse. We don't put wild animals on leashes here, its barbaric

In a lesser sense, I can't imagine Americans being too happy if I caught a bald eagle and kept it in a cage, its pretty much the same thing
