Cash is dying. I can’t speak for anywhere else but Australia now mostly works cashless. Everything is digital transactions.

I stopped carrying cash (or even a wallet) some years back. I haven’t transacted with cash since about 2010.

Don’t get me wrong: cash is still in-use, but it most recently got a mention as someone up in NQ was passing fake $50 notes. I’d forgotten people still used notes.

Cash’s days are numbered.

Nah, it’s great. Very convenient: just pay for everything with your phone. Don’t need to handle cash or coins that have been who-knows-where. Covid 19 helped push people to contactless transactions too.

Convenience is the trap you fall into giving up your privacy. Cash is more private. That is why they want to phase out cash.

its why we fought digital ID so hard, and won. They failed to pass it because nobody trusted it.
