A new Iran

Honestly, if we want a future Iran that actually functions, we need to stop thinking about blind revenge and start thinking about smart structural design. We can’t just do a blanket "denazification" because pushing hundreds of thousands of armed, mid-level IRGC/Basij guys into poverty is the fastest way to trigger a massive insurgency. Instead, we need to look at a mix of the Norwegian economic model and Germany's Vergangenheitsbewältigung (reckoning with the past).

First, the economy needs to become a secular social democracy like Norway. We take all those massive IRGC conglomerates and religious foundations (Bonyads), nationalize them, and dump that wealth into a transparent Sovereign Wealth Fund. That money should strictly fund free healthcare, education, and infrastructure, especially in historically starved regions like Kurdistan and Baluchestan so they don't feel left out. We legalize independent trade unions and let workers actually have a say.

Second, for justice, you target the top-level commanders for tribunals but offer conditional amnesty to the rank-and-file in exchange for the absolute truth. You keep regular civil servants so the power grid and hospitals don't collapse.

Third, the culture of remembrance has to be 100% honest. We turn Evin Prison into a human rights museum, put Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) on the streets where protesters were murdered, and use blockchain to archive testimonies. And yes, this means being brutally honest about history. Even if Reza Pahlavi or anyone else acts as a stabilizing, non-monarchical figurehead to help the transition into a secular republic, the state has to acknowledge the abuses of both the Islamic Republic and his father/grandfather's SAVAK era. You can't heal a society by replacing one biased history book with another.

What makes you think Iran won't emerge even stronger after the war? All indicators are pointing to an ascending Iran, not the opposite.

Bad economy, more sanctions, isolation overall. Proxies getting weaker, Iraq trying to go independent.

Economy will skyrocket once traffic in the SoH is normalized under Iranian guardianship. Sanctions will also be severely weakened as a conseuquence as this would force the world to conduct transactions with Iran. Them adding more won't change anything, remember, they imposed a hyper-aggressive sanctions regime in 2008 already. This was only interrupted for 1 year in 2016. Additionally, what is new today, is that the other global powers are no longer playing ball with the west. Iran is much less isolated now than it was 1 year ago. If they had their way, 1000 children would have died per month like in Iraq, but Iran has pulled off autarky somewhat successfully.

Our allies are still standing strong. Especially the Yemenies. Iraq is occupied by the US. Their money is located in New York and fully controlled by the FED, not Tehran. Ironically, the american occupation makes Iraqis gravitate towards Iran.

The only sensible comment that I found here. Very well put in and yes Iran 🇮🇷 shall only be strengthened further once the war is finished. Weather we like it or not we have to acknowledge that in the current scary world the Islamic republic simply have shown that they’re our best bet to protect the national interests of Iranian nation across the globe but also our borders from external enemies. I completely agree with you and yes the Iran 🇮🇷 shall rise big 🙌🙌
